Yet again, another thread opened with a title in mind but only Pakistanis being insulted. One man decided to fix a game, if he is guilty, only he is guilty, why the need to hurl uneccessary abuse? I find it ridiculous how even kids can be so childish as to want to hurl abuse and insults left right and centre. But for young adults? Come on, just grow up. As for the max fixing allegation, if it is true and I highly doubt it based on his poor keeping anyway, then he should serve at the bare minimum a 5 year ban from all forms of cricket and a life ban from international cricket.
Really, what are you on about? Abuse? Where did that happen in this thread? Pakistanis being insulted? The initial thread title had only Akmal's name on it - another thread was opened and merged with it which had the title and article taken verbatim from cricinfo - perhaps you should register your displeasure with them instead. And for what it's worth, most posters here don't even think Akmal fixed the match!
Shwetabh' date=' that guy says that about every thread he posts in, pakis attacked here, pakis attacked there, insulted in this thread, insulted in that thread blah blah blah[/quote']

Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Ijaz Butt has revealed that two Pakistani cricketers are involved in match-fixing and the International Cricket Council (ICC) has provided the evidence. Ijaz Butt said that he cannot tell the names of these cricketers but they are not included in the present team.
He said that he was amazed to see when the ICC provided the evidence.
Ouch ! What scums represent, Pakistan ! With the pathetic worth, that Pakistan carries as a country, Pak cricketers doing all they can to make Pakistan looked down upon even more.

I seriously think Pakistan should be striped of cricket and we give a chance to Ireland or Afghanistan, they will play well and the team spirit will be higher than these corrupted scumbags.

I am stumped! I guess the most pertinent question is who would pay pak players to throw a test match against aussies in Australia???? I mean pak had lost more than 10 straight to aussies and hadn't beaten Aus in tests since 90s so which bookie would pay pak players? If I were a bookie I would have paid off aussies to throw the match and not pakis - after all you can't fix something that's gonna happen anyways :hysterical: Methinks this is PCZB's way of deflecting questions around pak's poor performance in Aus and try to muddy waters with match fixing rumors. But as I said earlier it's tough to find a bookie who goes "Hmm let's see, pak is playing Aus in a test in Aus where they haven't won a match since forever. So this must finally be pak's time and let me pay off those guys to throw the match against aussies and I will make money off the guys who wagered on a pakistan win" :haha:

Akmal, Rana under match-fixing scanner: Reports STAFF WRITER 19:28 HRS IST Karachi, Feb 27 (PTI) Wicketkeeper-batsman Kamran Akmal and pacer Rana Naved are the two players allegedly under investigation by the Pakistan cricket Board for their involvement in match-fixing. The Voice of America quoting a highly placed source in the board reported today that both the players were dropped for the T20 international series against England in Dubai this month for this very reason. "Although both have been named in the 30 probables for the T20 World Cup but they will eventually not be selected in the final 15," the source said. According to the source, the PCB acted after the International cricket council provided them with information that linked the two players to match-fixing. PCB chairman Ejaz Butt had stopped short of naming the two players yesterday at a press conference. http://www.ptinews.com/news/540652_Akmal--Rana-under-match-fixing-scanner--Reports

Kamran Akmal and Rana Navid are under investigation for alleged match fixing Kamran Akmal and Rana Navid are under investigation for alleged match fixing

Karachi: The International Cricket Council (ICC) has provided match fixing proves to Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) against alleged involvement of wicket keeper Kamran Akmal and medium pacer Rana Navidul Hasan. PCB chairman Ijaz Butt on Friday made the startling revelation that ICC had provided PCB with the concrete proves of their alleged involvement in match fixing. Despite repeated questions, Ijaz Butt had refused to name the players. On investigation, a highly placed official in PCB exclusively told Voice of America on the condition of anonymity that “the two players were wicket keeper Kamran Akmal and medium pacer Rana Navidul Hasan”. Wicket keeper Akmal had come under heavy fire for his repeated fumbles on the Australian tour. Its worth mentioning that both players were dropped from the T-20 series against England recently played in Dubai. When asked if the proves were so concrete, why PCB included Akmal and Rana in the initial list of 30 players for the T-20 world cup, the source said that “both will be missing from the final list for the T-20 WC. The source further insisted that “PCB has announced an additional wicket keeper Zulqarnain Haider along side Kamran Akmal and Sarfaraz Ahmed in 30 initial players which indicates that Akmal would not feature in the final squad for T-20 WC to be played in West Indies in April.
