Players don't take benefit matches seriously.Quite rightly too..who wants to pick up an injury while playing an inconsequential match? Ah...when two national sides are involved, it's a different matter altogether.Remember India and SAF playing Mohinder Amarnath benefit match right after the Titan Cup in 1996 where Sachin scored a ton and India won the match..it was counted as an ODI hence the intensity was on par with any other international fixture. To organizer's credit they managed to get who's who of Indian cricket :two_thumbs_up: :--D
