Another ESPN vote for thread

Im fairly sure this was user voted for, on "PP" there was a thread urging users to vote for the almighty afridi. To be fair usually only Indians and Pakistanis vote on this thing so its obvious why Dhoni and afridi got picked, also see Ponting got chosen above Sachin, some Pakistanis must have stayed up voting all night to achieve that.

When was the last time you said anything pro-Pakistani? Are you a West Indian or from our neighboring country? :winky: And b/w Sachin and Ponting. I believe its a fair call. Ponting has dominated this decade more than Sachin. Sachin I think ruled more in the 90s.

Im english and where I live probably counts as a neighbouring country tbh. I havent said anything pro pakistani because if im honest with you theres not much good you can say about a failed state which is crawling with terrorists, obviously I have nothing against the people but your cricket makes it very easy to take the piss out of.

That failed state and terrorist comment was enough to get that typical obvious biased childish mindset that runs on the other side. :winky:

Do you want a mod to IP check me or something. I watch documentaries Pak_Forever and whilst I am no expert on Pakistan I know that its heading in the wrong direction, Lets not even get started on Pak cricket, a 5 year old child would do a better job of running the game than the PCB.

You said where you live counts as neighboring country. What did you mean by that? Are you a West Indianian or Britisher? b/c if you are West Indian then you commenting on the operations of PCB is pretty amusing. Your board is probably 2nd worse to PCB. And yes all Pakistanis know that PCB is a joke. b/w the documentaries you watch...ever got a chance to watch documentaries on how the "War of Terror" is ruining countries like Pakistan? What are the root causes. Stop watching documentaries that are made by our neighboring country or the ones by cnn will thousands of different osamas. Yes things are not good in Pakistan, but that doesn't make a nation of 170 million people a failed state. Every country got some problem and Pakistan currently is going through some really rough patches. The sooner those US terrorist army will get out of Afghanistan, the sooner we will gain stability.

I am British, I live in Birmingham UK which is around 1/3 pakistani so thats why the neigbouring country comment. And I know both sides too, such as US drone attacks in Pakistan killing innocent ciivillians and breeding the next generation of terrorists, equally bad but when I wake up in the morning and turn on the news there is usually reports of a blast in Pakistan.

A more appropriate question to ask is -- IS there anything to say PRO about your nation? For every one good thing you say -- I can say 15 things thats are CONS --which BTW is universally accepted -- world over!

ESPN site allowed users to vote as many times as they wished - no IP checks, no log-in requirements in place. Guardian poll had all these safeguards. Regardless, my argument with marris was about summarily dismissing the opinion of those who voted in online polls and NOT about the vulnerability of such polls to organized rigging etc.
There there.. I have told you this once and I am gonna tell it again - Dont put words in my mouth. Nowhere in our discussion did I say I 'summarily dismiss the opinion of those who voted in online polls'. . My primary talking point is, was and will always be 'I trust the cricketing opinion of those people who are passionate enough over the game of cricket to register in an online message board and spend a significant amount of time talking cricket more, than the average reader/viewer for whom cricket is just a casual past-time'. Oh btw, another victory for the veracity of online polls - Afridi's the cricketer of the decade.
