Hamid Hassan, Afghanistan's star allrounder, hopes to use the World Twenty20 as a launching pad into the big league; Apr 28, 2010 Go Afghanistan Go. Would be really refreshing to see them perform well.

Best of luck to them. I heard on a documentary that their wages are meagre even by afghan standards so it'll be nice to see them in the IPL or county cricket..

Cricket is one thing that could bring that messed up country together. No. of terrorist attacks within Afghan itself is just rising every year.

Afghanistan's coach - KABIR KHAN :omg:
:two_thumbs_up: :two_thumbs_up: :two_thumbs_up: i guess they will show us some surprises :hatsoff:

Go Afghanistan, beat SA but lose to India :--D ANY cricketer is a liar if he says his 1 eye is not at the IPL auction If India can arrange a bilateral series with Zimbabwe to please their board, they should also invite Afghanistan in India for short 3 ODI , 1 T20 series

I'll sure be happy to see the Afghan players play in the IPL, even if their performances are ordinary. Just goes onto to show the growing importance of Twenty20s in the world. And I hope Hamid Hassan is not castigated by the self-confessed Test cricket moral police. :two_thumbs_up:

Just watch this, one of the most inspirational videos about their journey [ame=

Proud to be an Afghan[/ame] These are the people you want to see do well, these are the people you want to help.

I wish them good luck. We need good teams at international level. There is demand for the game in Afganistan and T20 is the best entry point into the bigger arena for the smaller teams. I hope they make it to the second level or make one upset at least.

Well on that note I think IPl should allow fielding of 5 foreigners in a team provided the fifth is from an associate nation it would give key players good exposure. Surely there are decent batsmen and bowlers who could cut it above a few of our domestic guys in these associates.

Now if anyone has amin's number maybe we should call him and tell him this:two_thumbs_up:. Not just the exposure imagine the goodwill india will get from the associates. People genrally crib about BCCI bullying but now i think the associate nations will be thankfull plus perhaps if this is a may to make money they won't jump ship like ed joyce and eoin morgan for lack of oppurtunities.
