karteekmvs Posted April 29, 2010 Posted April 29, 2010 It would be in the lines of IPL-model. 8 Franchise owners. (multiple pools if I get many participants) Each owner would buy a maximum of 22 players. Each owner would be assigned 15 million sashas (currency) Each team has to have a minimum of 1 player from each country and a maximum of 4. The points that each player get would be based on a formula. I was tempted to use the one in our superselector as it would save me some time but I have always felt it was more batsman-friendly. I shall post the formula once I get at least 8 teams. The auction is going to be run in 6 sets. I would send out a list of 30 players per set with their base prices. Each team owner needs to PM me back with the amount they would like to spend on the player. The maximum bid wins. IN case of a tie, I shall PM the respective owners. I shall send out the sets of players every 2 hours and would let the individuals know how many sashas they are left with. Good Luck (to me)

Online Posted April 29, 2010 Posted April 29, 2010 so this is basically superselector but ESPN style, not ICF style I mean ICF SS does not assign a "cost" to the cricketers, so you don't have to pick a chindi cricketer just so u can fit in ur budget...
karteekmvs Posted April 29, 2010 Author Posted April 29, 2010 Sachdan: You would get a bonus 100K sashas for being the first to sign up. i.e, of course, if we get at least 8. Online: To me, this is different from the rest of the fantasy cricket leagues by the fact that each no player can be owned by 2 teams. As far as cost is concerned, I would just assign base prices. It is upto the owner if he wants to pick chindi cricketers to fill in the budget. The rule states you can pick a MAX of 22 players, so if you want to go for high-fly players, you can buy just 19 or 18 or however is convenient.

karteekmvs Posted April 29, 2010 Author Posted April 29, 2010 2 entries in 40 minutes. The sooner I get to fill the pool, the sooner I can start sending players. Roshan Rocks: Welcome to the league.
karteekmvs Posted April 29, 2010 Author Posted April 29, 2010 Good question. I overlooked it in my initial post. Each player would earn points based on their performance on the field just like ICF, and each point is worth 5000 sashas.
karteekmvs Posted April 30, 2010 Author Posted April 30, 2010 Thanks for those of you who have shown interest :)

Exactly..which takes away the fun.... sometimes chindi cricketers end up outdoing star players which is what makes the former exciting
