Serani Posted May 1, 2010 Posted May 1, 2010 It was sold out...... But still cant be excused for the pathetic atmosphere and black cheer leaders. tut tut tut. b55 did you watch the game? Id like to see these empty seats because there certainly were not many.
b555 Posted May 1, 2010 Posted May 1, 2010 i wasnt talking about capacity serani ... u obviously expect home matches to be sold out :D
f2000560 Posted May 1, 2010 Posted May 1, 2010 So people against the cheer leaders because they black? Nice. Either way the stadium was full. Id on't think it was the fact they were balck as much as the fact they were totaly limp throughout the match its almost as if they dragged themselfs to just do something random every four Threee crowd was capacity but then the atmosphere for the first match was almost funeral like not what you expect in a t20 game. The commentary though thankfully shorn of endorsements was just as limp but thankfully sensible. I think its only the first day and it will only get better. The crowds probably need to warm up a bit. :two_thumbs_up: That being said india matches are going to be disaster as its 9 30 in the morning in local time wonder who is going to come for those ?
Riley's Girl Posted May 1, 2010 Posted May 1, 2010 So people against the cheer leaders because they black? Nice. Either way the stadium was full. I'm not against black cheerleaders. Look, I don't go for girls, but there was one cheerleader in particular that was pretty hot.
Nova Posted May 1, 2010 Posted May 1, 2010 That being said india matches are going to be disaster as its 9 30 in the morning in local time wonder who is going to come for those ? It's all about the TV audience in India. T20 match in the morning just sounds boring for the local crowd indeed :yawn2:
Serani Posted May 1, 2010 Posted May 1, 2010 I'm not against black cheerleaders. Look' date=' I don't go for girls, but there was one cheerleader in particular that was pretty hot.[/quote'] nice, either way I am glad the cheer leaders represent local talent and they havent just gone for white girls with blonde hair like the IPL.
f2000560 Posted May 1, 2010 Posted May 1, 2010 nice' date=' either way I am glad the cheer leaders represent local talent and they havent just gone for white girls with blonde hair like the IPL.[/quote'] Agreed ! but cheerleading is a total side issue agree with marlize there was one rreally hot cheerleader :eyedance:
kabira Posted May 1, 2010 Posted May 1, 2010 I actually like the pitches. It will produce close games. Regarding ticket prices, they were selling tickets for $5, which is really really cheap. and free entrance to kids I think. Only thing they going to lose out is game starting at 2.30 am in india, not many ppl will be wanting to be awake until 5.30-6.00 am to watch the games. Organizers have been smart, so far indians games are starting early.
don_corleone840 Posted May 1, 2010 Posted May 1, 2010 I am not much bothered about india performance t20 world cup.i want india to do well in test and odi which are prime form of international cricket.ICC should leave t20 cricket for club cricket.
vvvslaxman Posted May 1, 2010 Posted May 1, 2010 Club cricket will beat international cricket as far as T20 goes. If Latvia plays team USA in a basketball series nobody is gong to watch except may be a few in Latvia. But if Lakers plays Spurs you will have so many watching. T20 has become like American sport with IPL, CL et al. They should leave as it is.
kabira Posted May 1, 2010 Posted May 1, 2010 Regarding atmosphere, well you guys don't know Caribbean ppl. I played cricket with them, playing for them. They are party animals. No matter what, even if they lost badly, party was on. Beers, Rum etc was out on the field. LOL Only complain I had against them was their commitment when playing the game.

rkt.india Posted May 1, 2010 Posted May 1, 2010 It's all about the TV audience in India. T20 match in the morning just sounds boring for the local crowd indeed :yawn2: it is stil too late to start a match at 10:30 or 11:00 pm India time...i dont think may people would watch even Indian games fully till 2 clock midnight or maybe late
Serani Posted May 1, 2010 Posted May 1, 2010 u are talking about past man' date='now wi people dont give damn to cricket.they are actually getting attracted towars other sports like basket ball and football.i will not be surprise to see empty stadium even in india's match.[/quote'] thats a myth, but ok......
Pioneer Posted May 1, 2010 Posted May 1, 2010 Atmosphere was far from pathetic...even in a Bangladesh game
Serani Posted May 1, 2010 Posted May 1, 2010 Yeh its just the fact the cheer leaders are not blonde its really getting people down.
yoda Posted May 1, 2010 Posted May 1, 2010 I don't like the half empty stands. then again the stands were pretty empty even for one of the IPL semis. I hate the cheerleaders, especially the non local ones in IPL, if at all would much rather prefer the locals used by this tourney. Weather hasn't played spoilsport yet, but the forecasts look shady, hopefully it doesn't interfere much.
Sachin_Rulez Posted May 1, 2010 Posted May 1, 2010 Any multi-tournament played in WI will be disastrous. Not sure why ICC chosen WI as the venue for another WC. When was AUS hosted any ICC tournament? Other than WC 91, I don't remember any ICC event played in Aus
vvvslaxman Posted May 1, 2010 Posted May 1, 2010 Atmosphere was far from pathetic...even in a Bangladesh game :cantstop: You call this atmosphere. It was more like weekend get together of old age people.
Watson87 Posted May 1, 2010 Posted May 1, 2010 dude how can u hate the cheerleaders, i really liked the way they moved their booty, some of you guys need to be open minded. The female cheerleaders were kinda hot man. By the way there was a male cheerleader, Serani you got some moves boy.
