ludhianvi Posted December 25, 2008 Posted December 25, 2008 This movie is adaption from a novel. Compare this with Hello (another adapted version of 2nd best seller). Atul Aghnihotri (ffs, how can you let him direct??) ***ed up the movie royally and made the novel author look like dunce. Danny Boyle on the other hand, (IMO) portrayed all the relevant chapters from the book beautifully. I am still surprised that no other Indian director tried to make a movie out of this novel. I think Indian directors (genuine ones...not Atul types) should go for making movies out of Indian novel...so people like me who don't read can actually enjoy it :--D Thanks, will check out the movie 'Hello' that you mentioned *goes and finds movie*
Desi Cartman Posted December 25, 2008 Posted December 25, 2008 Bad Boys in Hindi ... found a dvd of Bad Boys 1 & 2 dubbed in Hindi ... it was super awesome :icflove:
flamy Posted December 25, 2008 Posted December 25, 2008 Watched Slumdog Millionaire.... THOROUGHLY enjoyed it.... Great movie....Brilliant :finger::finger::finger::finger: :((:((
Centrino Posted December 25, 2008 Posted December 25, 2008 Slumdog Millionaire' date=' very good watch, though not oscar material as people have been saying[/quote'] Just watched it last night in the theater and it was great and definitely Oscar worthy (at least for movie and cinematography). Direction and acting was top class as well. I also saw Welcome To Sajjanpur and it is funny and well done. Going to see Ghajini tomorrow
graphic23 Posted December 25, 2008 Posted December 25, 2008 Going to watch Ghajini this evening. Hopefully it will be good.
Desi Cartman Posted December 26, 2008 Posted December 26, 2008 Rab ne bana di jori - couldnt watch it for more than 20 mins .. same over-acting from SR Gay.. when will he stop acting like a 20 year old college student

I didn't like Om Shanti Om either. Pardes wasn't too bad either and the act that he continues in every "romantic" movie today actually worked only in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, I think.
Ram Posted December 26, 2008 Posted December 26, 2008 A bit surprised no one's mentioned Ghajini... It has opened to record-break collections in India. The original (?!) Tamizh version itself was excellent. And with Aamir now playing the male lead, I can only imagine the movie being multiple levels better. Really looking forward to catching up with the movie very soon.

Ram Posted December 26, 2008 Posted December 26, 2008 Was the Tamil version an adaption of Memento ? Yep. Atleast thats what I've heard, coz I never saw the English version.
suraj Posted December 26, 2008 Posted December 26, 2008 So I was dragged today to watch "Rab Ne bana Di Jodi" Thankfully it was sold out so we couldn't watch it :two_thumbs_up: Opted for Slumdog Millionaire instead as Ghajni was also sold out.. watched Ghajni for 15 mins while waiting for "Slumdog...."; it completely changed the decision So bottomline we saw Slumdog millionaire today and thoroughly enjoyed it and now we are coming back for Ghajni tomorrow & "Rab Ne..." has been stricken from the theater plan to "wait for the DVD" plan:yay::yay::yay::yay::yay::yay::yay::yay::yay::yay::yay:
