Left-arm spinner Pragyan Ojha, who was the highest wicket-taker in the recently-concluded Indian Premier League, is ready to marry Karabee, a PhD scholar, at his home town Bhubaneswar on May 16. Ojha, who represents Hyderabad in Ranji Trophy and also plays for Deccan Chargers in IPL, met Karabee more than two years ago when she was in the city to pursue her PhD. "I have just finalised on this. I am very happy for him. Pragyan knew her more than two years and afterwards he introduced her to me," Pragayan's mother Bidyutlata told PTI. Daughter of academicians Professor Kailash Chandra Baral and Professor Chanchala Naik Baral, Karabee has done her MSc in biochemistry from MS University in Baroda and is currently pursuing her PhD from Hyderabad Central University. She lives with her mother Prof Chanachala, an academician in English and Foreign Languages (EFL) University, Hyderabad. "It was going on for quite a long time. I don't know much about cricket, but I found him very matured as a human being," Karabee's father, Prof Baral said. "There's a lot of work pending as the marriage was pre-poned by a week and now will take place at Mayfair Lagoon in Bhubaneswar on May 16," he said. Prof Baral, who hails from Cuttack, is the director of an EFL University branch in Shillong Campus. Born on September 5, 1986 in Khurda district of Orissa, Pragyan started playing cricket at Shaheed Sporting Club in Bhubaneswar before leaving for Hyderabad. Subsequently, he became a leading spinner for the Hyderabad Ranji side and represents Deccan Chargers in the IPL. His highly successful campaign in the first IPL ensured selection in the 15-man Indian squad for the Bangladesh tour and Asia cup. His debut match was against Bangladesh on June 9, 2009 in which he took 4 for 21 in four overs. In November 2009, Ojha made his Test debut in the Second Test against Sri Lanka in Kanpur, gaining figures of 2-37 off 23 overs and 2-36 off 15.3 overs in India's 100th Test win.

^Aye, youre right. Not that Pragyan seems like the 'running after actresses' type. It works well I think marrying early for sportspeople. Gives them a bit of focus in life. Seems like a fairly bright spark too his wife...

Good decision by Ojha to marry early. Hes getting popular & with fame comes oppurtunities of committing adultery. Good wishes to him.
well said... adultery leads to stoning... then stupid Umrika becomes kabab mein haddi and calls it medieval...barbaric....then we have to let him live....we need their blank cheques so we'll have to follow through...whole Lota mess
