satyam1729 Posted May 5, 2010 Posted May 5, 2010 Yeh when he said his infamous comments about tests he was actually joking. 21st in tests and rising rapidly, next target is :punter: unless he has fallen behind already. Gayle is a very good player. But don't laugh at Raina. He can play very good shots
Serani Posted May 5, 2010 Posted May 5, 2010 Gayle is a very good player. But don't laugh at Raina. He can play very good shots I know, I still would like to see him fail against the short ball, people should realise Rohit is a better prospect than Raina.
h4te Posted May 5, 2010 Posted May 5, 2010 I know' date=' I still would like to see him fail against the short ball, people should realise [b']Rohit is a better prospect than Raina. :hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical:
vvvslaxman Posted May 5, 2010 Posted May 5, 2010 I know' date=' I still would like to see him fail against the short ball, people should realise Rohit is a better prospect than Raina.[/quote'] Just that you know.. short ball alone is not cricket. you should also know how to play yorker, outswing, inswing, off cutter, leg cutter, leg spin, googly, off spin, doosra, flipper, wrong un, slow bouncer, slow yorker... etc. Just focus on areas where he is really good at. His inside out shots are really fantastic shots that help him manipulate with the field set. Not many can play that shot like him.
Serani Posted May 5, 2010 Posted May 5, 2010 :hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical: Rohit is pure class and I cant understand why you all give him such a hard time.
vvvslaxman Posted May 5, 2010 Posted May 5, 2010 Rohit is pure class and I cant understand why you all give him such a hard time. Cricket is not about technique. It is also about temperament, ability to deliver under pressure. If we are just going to go just for style without substance there are so many available.
f2000560 Posted May 5, 2010 Posted May 5, 2010 Mcgrath pwned Gayle despite being retired? I know McGrath is good and all but thats kinda impossible. Gayle does not care about ODI's in fact I would say he would care if ODI's died, its all about test matches for Chris. didn't he say he wouldn't shed a tear if test matches died ???

vvvslaxman Posted May 5, 2010 Posted May 5, 2010 He hasnt been given too many chances' date=' even when he plays he is up and down the order and its hard for a youngster to settle.[/quote'] Did you look at his average? Pathetic 24. He got enough chances. Only Karthik can complain as he had to bat all over. Even during last West Indies ODI tour Karthik comfotably outperformed Rohit. http://stats.cricinfo.com/ci/engine/records/batting/most_runs_career.html?id=4816;type=series
HowardRoark Posted May 5, 2010 Posted May 5, 2010 God I was only joking' date= sense of humour guys. I need to joke since Satyam will throw a barrage of stats and start rimming McGrath again and that would probably make me cry. If so, it's you (just like your idol) who doesn't know what to joke and where.
Serani Posted May 5, 2010 Posted May 5, 2010 If so' date=' it's you (just like your idol) who doesn't know what to joke and where.[/quote'] yeh whatever, however it must said I do not "idolise" anybody.
HowardRoark Posted May 5, 2010 Posted May 5, 2010 yeh whatever' date=' however it must said I [b']dont not "idolise" anybody. Thanks for agreeing.
Serani Posted May 5, 2010 Posted May 5, 2010 Agreeing what? That I can make I typo? Shoot me now I made a typo on an internet forum. Stop nit picking.
HowardRoark Posted May 5, 2010 Posted May 5, 2010 Agreeing what? That I can make I typo? Shoot me now I made a typo on an internet forum. Stop nit picking. I tried to joke like you and your idol do..that's all sir..
Nova Posted May 5, 2010 Posted May 5, 2010 I hope Suresh Raina gets a broken face. You don't seriously meant it...do you? It's ok to wish that a batsman get out on the first ball...but a broken face? :banghead:
HowardRoark Posted May 5, 2010 Posted May 5, 2010 You don't seriously meant it...do you? It's ok to wish that a batsman get out on the first ball...but a broken face? :banghead: This comment pissed me off to no limits. I cannot understand how one can have so much hatred for a innocent n cheerful guy like Raina. Probably this guy will say it was a joke. If only the world can understand his and his idol's jokes!

Back in the day plenty of cricket fans wanted to see there pacers smash the ball into the batsmans unprotected face. Maybe you Indians can not relate as you have never had a pacer quick enough to get the ball above waist high.

I have never wished a broken face to any cricketer...so my reaction was of shock coz I couldn't relate to you. Call it culture difference or a different mind set. It definitely does not make me excited when I see a fast bowler break someone's jaws.

It must be noted myself plays as a fast bowler to a fairly high level of club cricket. But anyways, seeing someone hit in the face/head or anywhere really is awesome and probably the most exciting part of the game seeing a bowler that can seriously hurt a batsman.
