Not denying you guys won that game, just laughing at how people flip flop with their words so quickly here. I thought India wasn't ever a good T20 side? I also thought that this was a "hit and giggle" competition, thus the value of any win never holds great importance? Suddenly, the Indian's win against Aussies three years ago in "tontee tontee" cricket has this whole thread? 85 percent of the members here dont give two cents about this competition everytime India gets knocked out particularly? Now suddenly you're appreciating a T20 win? Why? Interesting to say the least.

I guess it was Yuvraj who carried us through to the final and then pressure got to pak in a high-pressure final. And my statement simply re-states the same. Now I can look back and appreciate we must have played superbly to put one past aussies in a semi-final. That's about it.

I could easily say this semi final match has made me realize the importance of Younis Khan as a captain who as compared to Afridi thought more outside of the box on the field, who never failed to take risks... who despite being in a semi final game (against the unbeatable SA) during the last few overs of the first innings handed over the ball to a part time - inexperienced spinner Fawad Alam..who didn't risk using youngsters like Shahzaib Hassan and Aamer during the last world T20 whereas Afridi never tried our best U19 player sitting on the bench (Hammad Azam) at all because he didn't ever want to take a risk. So? Point is, you learn a lot of things out of these matches and it makes you reflect on stuff from the past and actually makes you appreciate certain things. In reality though, you have to look at the present and move on.

Afridi has been a let-down for me... I had high hopes from him as a captain but he's tactically way too naive. Yup, even Malik was a better captain than him and as you said Younis Khan is the best of the lot. PCB will have to seriously re-think its options before odi world cup as Afridi is not captaincy material. IPL is fine in itself and I believe it will benefit India in the longer run since it will attract more youngsters to the game. But BCCI needs to manage and schedule it a bit better - a simple scheduling rule that IPL has to finish at least 4 weeks before any ICC tournament will be enough to address most of the concerns.

Yup, that win will always be special to indian fans. What I'm trying to say is that even in a T20 game, we must have been great to beat aussies in semis. Disagree. All these bowlers were cartered around in India in the IPL. Their main strength has been little bit of pace on the pitch which you won't get on most Indian pitches. None of them are even half as good as Jason Gillespie let alone Mcgrath on flat pitches. On Indian pitches most impressive Aussie i have seen in recent times is Bollinger. He stood out both in ODIs and the IPL.

I'm takng about T20 alone mate.. The Aussie combination of batting,bowling,fielding and Hussey would be more than handful for anyone on any pitch.. On a patta subcontinent pitch this Aussie batting can match any line-up we can put up
