gs
i fully support the muslims on this issue' date=' and i believe they will return victorious from this war on idol worship. Remember this sort of thing happened a decade ago when they waged a war against two gaigantic buddha statues which were torturing them with machine guns and handheld rocket launchers, of course a few muslims died in that war from the recoil of the weapons they were not qualified to use but victory was obtained nevertheless. facebook is next.[/quote'] Absolutey - we is winning!! :hysterical::hysterical::hysterical: Excellent post BTW

Aaku
"And the faithful slaves of Allah, the Most Gracious are those who walk on the earth in humility and sedateness, and when the foolish address them with bad words, they reply back with mild words of gentleness. Aaku
Saudi scholar Ghasssam Al-Ghain said Muslims should ignore such issues and focus on showing the world Islam in its true spirit, something that he said is not happening nowadays. "To market Islam we should apply the ethics we have learned and keep everything clean and pure," he said, adding that young Muslims should fight back by presenting a positive image of their countries, religion and Prophet. "Let the youth at least invest in and invent products that can keep us away from relying on their societies. Rather than focusing on wearing low-cut pants and showing their underwear in public, be men and useful members of society," he said. Al-Ghain said boycotts are useless as they could lead Western countries to stop selling important products, such as medicine and hospital equipment, to Muslim countries. "People who call for boycotts think childishly," he said. Al-Ghain said cartoons depicting the Prophet in an offending manner cannot harm him. He added that a person who defames the Prophet is "just like a man who throws a handful of sand toward the sun just to find the sand falling over his own head." The Kingdom’s Communications and Information Technology Commission (CITC) failed to respond to an Arab News’ query whether they would block Facebook or the website marking the day. http://arabnews.com/saudiarabia/article55568.ece Finally a mature approach. Lurker
http://arabnews.com/saudiarabia/article55568.ece Finally a mature approach. Mature? The man is comparing Islam to a bar of soap that needs marketing... To market Islam we should apply the ethics we have learned and keep everything clean and pure The problem with organized religion, specially Abrahaminical religion, is this nauseating tendency to a) Have a totalitarian thought that their faith, and only their faith is correct. b) Beleif in scoring browni points for "afterworld" by trying to educate the "misguided" about point a. The day the followers forget these two cornerstones would also be the day when we may see peace..finally

achilles
This is really getting out of hand. I'm not a Muslim but I feel disgusted to see the kind of rubbish they've posted there. And why hasn't anyone posted this - Protest erupts against Facebook invitation to draw Prophet Mohammad images Protests erupted in Mumbai on Friday (21st May 2010) against social networking site Facebook, which called on its users to draw images of Prophet Mohammad. "This agitation is to press for the demand to erase all those objectionable cartoons on Facebook. If the Indian government does not ban Facebook in the next 48 hours, then our agitation will be nationwide," said Maulana Sayyed, a Member of Raza Academy. If the Indian government does not ban Facebook, then the whole community of Muslims in India will protest on the streets like we did after a Danish newspaper published similar pictures of Prophet Mohammad. We do not love anyone more than our Nabi. We will not tolerate any insult to our Nabi," said Maulana Khalil Ul Rehman, a member of Raza Academy. http://news.oneindia.in/2010/05/21/protesterupts-against-facebook-invitation-to-drawpro.html I hate the double-speak which seems to be going on and I'll be closely watching this thread to see - will we be honest enough to label ourselves the nautankis we label our padosis to be. We aren't holier than thou "unlike" our neighbours, something we like to believe. Lets try not to be hypocrites.

You think tall fair skinned supermodels are beautiful, imagine the 'houri' - a creature described by wikipedia as standing 40 feet tall whose skin is so sheer you can see its organs. A devout muslim who dies and goes to heaven is blessed with 16 'houris' at his disposal and he can do what ever he wants with them, he can even lay them side by side and use them as bed. Of course nothing is mentioned of what a devout muslim woman gets when she dies, the book was left incomplete at the moment of mohammad's demise. maybe she turns into a 'houri', who knows.
