Roshanrocks Posted May 24, 2010 Posted May 24, 2010 i caught this very same flight one day before the crash... i got lots of phone calls on the 22nd asking if i was on this flight or on the day before survived death by one day
Roshanrocks Posted May 24, 2010 Posted May 24, 2010 Oh man, I recall roshanrocks aka roro talking about packing and going to India a couple of days ago. Hope all is well with him yes dost... i caught the same flight, but one day before
Zap_Brannigan Posted May 24, 2010 Posted May 24, 2010 i caught this very same flight one day before the crash... i got lots of phone calls on the 22nd asking if i was on this flight or on the day before survived death by one day That is luck. I knew a person who had a meeting in WTC 1 day prior to 9/11 at the exact time the planes hit. BTW, is it really that scary to land there as some people claim? If it is, why is that airport still open?
Nova Posted May 24, 2010 Posted May 24, 2010 i caught this very same flight one day before the crash... i got lots of phone calls on the 22nd asking if i was on this flight or on the day before survived death by one day ...oh wow. Glad your flight was safe. Take care my friend.
Roshanrocks Posted May 24, 2010 Posted May 24, 2010 That is luck. I knew a person who had a meeting in WTC 1 day prior to 9/11 at the exact time the planes hit. BTW, is it really that scary to land there as some people claim? If it is, why is that airport still open? There is no problem with the airport nor runway, i have landed on that same airport without any troubles plenty of times, there are so many domestic and international flights landing there all the time, not a single mishap all these years.... i am putting my money on pilot error. there is enough space on that runway for smooth landing. news channels are simply milking the issue for publicity. they will try to spend max time on the issue highlighting all kinds of theories. one guy was floating a theory of extra fuel on board :dontknow: ...oh wow. Glad your flight was safe. Take care my friend. thankx :hatsoff: am going to catch the same flight back to dubai tomorrow evening with my wife with me... Wish me luck :omg: Now go enjoy life like never before ! Thanks Boss BHai :hatsoff: will do that

BTW, is it really that scary to land there as some people claim? If it is, why is that airport still open? The runway/airport is not better or worse than most Indian airports, but the landscape around is very unforgiving and margin of error for the pilot/aircraft is very little. Once the landing threshold is missed, chances are it will run off the plateau into the slopes. If the landscape was flat, probably this tragedy wouldnt have happened or maybe the toll wouldnt have been this high. :((
