it's important but obviously not as important as the wc.

Ponting clicked in ONE WC Final out of the FOUR he played in. Even in that one he was provided a strong platform by Gilchrist. Thats a success rate of 25%. Sachin has had the chance of playing in only one. If he was given 4 chances like Ponting, i am sure he would have clicked in at least 2. You cannot use one sample to prove anything, either for Sachin or Ponting.
