Andy Posted June 7, 2010 Posted June 7, 2010 i would have definitely gone for Mishra but given that he was fairly toothless in Zim the seelctors perhaps acted too hastily. I for one Hope RP/ Ishanth and Sreesanth are in a secret BCCI lab trying to regain their bowling mojo cause there is no way in hell Dinda is chosen ahead of them. but if we have a full strenth 11 Dinda and Tiwary might not get games. Well we have left arm spinners and 2 offspinners. Selectors have missed a trick here my not selecting Mishra. He is a leg spinner. And if we are to bowl beter at death we should include Dinda from this current resource.

Irfan cant do both. he can do both.remember T20 WC2007 finals. i think we r expecting too much from him.wat i want from is to play a James Hopes kinda role,bat at 7 n bowl 5-6 ovs on average.i think Irfan is well capalble of that. as for bowlers,there arent any who r consistent,so might as play Irfan at 7 n play 2 attacking spinners as spin is our strength.as of now our bowling atack consists of 3 crap pacers n 2 darters

I mean he can do worse than Dinda (but it seems Dinda is now the East Zone Quota selection). Dhoni absolutely loves Jadeja. So come what may, Jadeja is here to torment us many years to come. He is in the mould of Pak player 'Forward Alarm'. Selectors shouldn't select IPL players like S Tiwary as it's giving other young players a wrong message of somehow doing well in IPL and then the door opens for the Indian team. Good to see UV dropped although he doesn't gives a rats **** about it. He knows he will be back, even if he doesn't mends his ways..He would rather take this as a welcome break and attend few more parties..

He was a decnt bowler then. Detoriated as a bowler. Where as Dinda is a much beter death bowler than him. Both are ordinary new ball bowlers now.

Last few matches he played, dhoni had to hide him during the 1st 15 and last 10 overs. He hasnt really done anything different in IPL games and how is his domestic form?

He is much beter death bowler than many of our best. Still he shouldnt have been picked. I wud have Mishra in place of Aswin, Pandey in place of Tiwary. IPL sux now. Spinner selection is spot on with Oijha and Ashwin. Mishras loopy slow spin is not suited to limted overs cricket, he also loves a long hop which goes for 6. Those calling for I Pathan have gone nuts , he is finished as a bowler. Would prefer Jadeja over him, although Jadeja is also very avergae. We also have the rise of Sharma and Kohli who are the rising stars

We don need bits andd pieces player. We need a genuine bowler. Which is not Irfan.

We also have the rise of Sharma and Kohli who are the rising stars see i want to play 2 attacking offies in Ojha n Ashwin/Bhajji.that means we need a pacer who can bat at 7.Irfan fits the bill perfectly.its not like other bowlers r taking wickets by heaps.they r crap as well atleast Irfan lends balance.wat we r playing now is 2 darters n 3 crap pacers,now doubt teams regularly score 300 against us
