not just bhaj, but a lot of indian cricketers do well when they are provoked. zaheer khan ripped england to pieces after they were talking crap to him at trent bridge. gambhir stormed to a double hundred when watson and katich were trying to bully him. yuvraj smashed 6 sixes off broad after flintoss was trying to get under his skin. same thing happened at chennai during the Great Chase, flintoss kept chipping away and yuvraj dug in to score a match winning fifty alongside tenudlkar the indian cricket team rallied together after sydney and SMASHED australia at perth - after the australian media were ripping them apart, their ex players were predicting a white wash and everyone was talking about 4 pacers on a bouncy track blah blah blah these are just a few examples from recent years. but indian cricketers have had a real edge to them in this decade, they fight hard on the pitch and dont take **** from anybody. opposition should know better when they try to rile up indian players, they are only making it harder for themselves. so its not surprising that bhajji told the paki kutta go **** himself when he tried to push him around. it was showabe who provoked him into that, and he got what he deserved.

I still think dropping him wouldnt have made much of a difference. Ojha might have bowled better and we wouldnt have needed to wait till the last over to win. People are praising him for his battign while this thread was for his bowling Pakistan is a poor team and we shouldnt judge our performace against them. Looking towards our future, their is definitely a scope for a wicket taking spinner though i admit there is no one good enough on the horizon

True but even lookign at your opening thread..How can one drop Bhajji when a malnourished guy like Jadeja is in the team?????..I quite like Ohja myself and I think he should replace Jadeja. This Jaddu is good for nothing and I just hate this guy come to bat.. his bowling is nothing to write home about either. Bhajji is a must for now based on his performances.

^ Talk about flogging a dead horse. This thread failed miserabley and was based on blind hate by some against bhaji. He is frankly one of our stalwarts and a great servant for years now. He has been in top 10 in all formats for years now and yet people still go after him, BIZZARE!

i opened this thread coz of Pak's struggle against left arm spin.Jadeja did bowl decently n effected a brilliant runout.wasnt sure now i am sure that he cant bat at 7.Irfan should be at 7 replacing a pacer n Ojha/Jadeja can be the 2nd spinner

Jadeja cant be a second spinner..His bowling was economical this time but I am basing my opinion on his overall performances since I have seen him..He was malnourished from day 1 with batting..His bowling is like a gamble...He can be blasted all over the park like in t20 wc or he can get lucky and economical sometimes..But he is a big risk and to bat him at #7 is a crime..Heck, praveen kumar and zak at 9,10 play much better than him. Yes, his run out was good..But young spinners like chawla, ohja etc are all brilliant fielders so its not like we are replacing a brilliant fielder with a bad one. His batting is just criminal and in the upcoming wc, we need a decent #7 not a joker liek jadeja.

blind hate?i said BEFORE the match that i hoped he performed well n win the match for India,criticising isnt hating blind hate is wat u have for Nehra.Saturday must hv been a great day .apart from win n Bhajji's performance,u must hv been happiest from the fact that Nehra didnt perform well,werent u? atleast i'm accepting it.u keep trashing Nehra while he keeps on performing(Saturday was an abberation)

i said that he cant bat at 7.Irfan should be there.but he can bat at 9 n contribute or be up the order if we lose early wickets. n no,Ojha isnt nearly as good a fielder as Jadeja.Chawala is okay but a run leaking bowler i see no reason why he cant be our 2nd spinner.problem with that we often end up with 2 darters.if Bhajji can be more attacking,Jadeja can be very good supprt bowler
