yoda Posted July 7, 2010 Posted July 7, 2010 Unexpected result. Germany had no energy. Their passes were all over the place, they didn't take any shots at the goal even when they were just outside the box. Well done Spain!
Guest Hiten. Posted July 8, 2010 Posted July 8, 2010 Ok who let the England team play as Germany ? I mean what the **** were these guys doing ? Klose was upfront all by himself, Podolski and Bastian were jammed in the midfield, Ozil was unable to breakthrough and the less we talk about German's defense (Boateng was HORRIBLE) the better. I felt like Germany was expecting to go to ET at 0-0 and try their luck/chances in penalty shoot outs. This semi final did not live up to the hype and tbh, was a ****ing borefest. Spain have still not hit their top gear and are clearly struggling to score once the opp takes out Villa out of the equation. Although, all credit to Spain for being patient with the ball and keeping the possession for a longer time (only flash of Spain's real style was their heavier possession). I just hope this style of match is not emulated in the finals. P.S: Villa should've scored off Iniesta's brilliant throughball, when the Germany defense was sleeping not marking Spain's prolific scorer in this tournament :wall:
Guest Hiten. Posted July 8, 2010 Posted July 8, 2010 It was also funny to see how Pedro wanted to be a hero and effed up a golden opportunity to double their lead. What a piss take was that :phehehe:, Torres with a goal in his bag might have turned up differently at soccer city.
gaurav92 Posted July 8, 2010 Posted July 8, 2010 ^Second Opportunity came when Torres was pleading for a pass from one of the Mid Fielders(I can't recall his name). It would have easily been 2-0 for Spain had he not been a llittle selfish, but all that will be forgotten now as they are through
