Old guy Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 I recently starting using Mac so safari..it eats less battery and is smoother but chrome is much quicker and has so many awesome extension and sync features Will probably use both but will never be able to leave chrome Also inbuilt flash that saves lots of time
sscomp32 Posted October 12, 2014 Posted October 12, 2014 Was using FF for a lot of time. But finally got pissed off. :wall: Steals all memory and hangs my laptop plus flash player is a pain, requires extra memory. Chrome has little less extensions/features but is mighty fast and inbuilt flash helps a lot.

sscomp32 Posted October 12, 2014 Posted October 12, 2014 Chrome has more extensions but some of them are blocked from market but u can find them outside ...mainly related to YouTube :winky: I wanted a minimize to tray , found it too. Old guy Posted October 12, 2014 Posted October 12, 2014 I wanted a minimize to tray ' date=' found it too. Just open extension page and drag and drop the extension file and enable it in there
sscomp32 Posted October 12, 2014 Posted October 12, 2014 Are external extensions disabled ? Just open extension page and drag and drop the extension file and enable it in there Yes. Latest chrome disables them and you cant enable them again.
Old guy Posted October 12, 2014 Posted October 12, 2014 Yes. Latest chrome disables them and you cant enable them again. Not happening to me Is it same on beta chrome ? If no just use it
Old guy Posted October 12, 2014 Posted October 12, 2014 Yes. Latest chrome disables them and you cant enable them again. Btw ...you can just allow chrome to run in background and change setting to open tabs which I left on restarting Then u can just close chrome instead of minimizing and it will keep running in tray .. That is what u want to do no ?
sscomp32 Posted October 12, 2014 Posted October 12, 2014 ^^ I have the latest stable version of chrome. I tried again but same result. When i used FF , on clicking minimize it disappared from Taskbar and got hidden in the notofication area with other icons like time, battery, sound. I want something like that for chrome too .

Chrome already is there check out :winky: Just enable running in background in settings
Old guy Posted October 13, 2014 Posted October 13, 2014 I did that. Does not work. Yes but do not use minimise button use cross button like you do with utorrent :winky: Simply just allow it to run in background and change setting in browser to open tabs which you left open last time I know this is not solution but I can understand extension not working as chrome is already running in notification tray On my Mac app keeps running until you close it so I have habit of just clicking red button now and open browser every time I need to use again
sscomp32 Posted October 13, 2014 Posted October 13, 2014 Thanks. :two_thumbs_up: But I found a third party app which can minimize any window to Tray. 4t Tray minimizer.
