we better not hear a peep from our players about any freaking decisions which they perceive were unjust. They are partly responsible for this mess.
Exactly. The primary reason why the ICC introduced UDRS was the hullabaloo over the Sydney test misadevnture of 2008. This shameful change in thinking looks so hypocritical.

The likes of Sachin, Kumble, Dravid, and the other senior players are the culprits here. As of now, we look like the biggest hypocrites.

Yeah, the hypocrisy is startling. Why even whinge about those morons Bucknor and Benson screwing you over when you aren't ready to accept the solution (and a very good one at that, whatever the initial problems that any such introduction of technology brings)? Our players want it both ways and I have zero sympathy for these guys if the umpires shaft us in this series.

Absolutely.
that is what it looks like from the surface but because I have so much faith in our gods, I think this may be because the babus @ BCCI don't want to spend the $ for implementing this. IDK if implementing the UDRS in SL would cost BCCI any $. I believe the broadcasters may have to foot the bill. But if there is even a $ that BCCI has to spend for this, they probably are going to be reluctant in adapting it.

The BCCI has nothing to do with it usage, its the SL Board & the broadcasters. The BCCI/Indian Team has just to agree to its usage.

the players r right.no point in using wen they dont hv hotspot.last time wrong decsions were given simply coz hotspot wasnt there

Anil Kumble made a mess of it then wasting the appeals. The Lankans made good use of it however. I think ICC should make it mandatory now.
not until we hv maximum technology for ALL matches

Gaurav what are you trying to say?
Well i am just saying that I don't want the hawk eye to be implemented anyways but i will be glad if we use the Hot Spot technology to get a look at whether the ball hits the bat on the way or not, whether the catch is taken cleanly, whether there is an edge or not etc.I don't mind if we don't use UDRS but the on field umpires must always try and confirm a doubtful decisions with the third umpire who has all the technologies.

I wish there will be a couple of blunders going against Indian. Only then will the BCCI come to their senses. This is utterly ridiculous decision. Wasn't it the same BCCI that was threatening to cancel an Aus tour back then because some decisions went against them? Hypocrisy at it's best.

Why do we need onfield umpre if he is always ging to consult the 3rd umpire for a doubtful decision? Only to give decisions that are 100% correct? The 3rd umpire can do it with his technological tools can't he?

just because u dont like the problem doesnt mean that u should accept bad answers

Well than we may see some decisions especially in run outs that the on field umpire consults the third umpire so why not for other decisions too, well if u are in favour of completely replacing the on field umpire with a technology then i can't answer you

Isnt sachin one of the critics of the UDRS?.i just cannot dredge up any sympathy for our players after they abandoned it it completely after just one series(that too without the complete system was not used in that lankan series).

Cant say with certainty if Sachin is against the UDRS but one thing is for sure, if a few decisions go against Tendulkar, India would surely change its mind on the UDRS. :--D The media will be all over it.
