Basically he is admitting he has the brain capacity of a 6 year old with down syndrome.
I don't think you realize how insulting this is to 6 year olds with down syndrome.

Some interesting quotes that I've read on the board & my own thoughts about this strange country come to my mind. Apparently in Pakistan, a) Cricketers never take a break - they retire and unretire. b) Players dont get dropped - they are banned and unbanned. c) Political leaders (ask Nawaz Sharif) are never ousted - they are exiled and unexiled. You are better off being a terrorist than a cricketer in Pakistan because: a) When you commit suicide as a terrorist you are glorified, but if you are a cricketer commiting suicide (esp against Australia) you will be stoned. b) If you drop a bomb as a terrorist you are glorified, you drop a catch as a cricketer you will be convicted. c) Terrorists at least know that they have virgins to look forward to. d) Terrorists dont get raped. e) As a terrorist you always get to play at home. So if you are growing up in Pakistan, looking for inspiration, dont bother with cricket!

Thanks u Afridi, yet again you proved yourself a brave man... Guys! all questions are right about why he took the charge at first but realistically on taking the charge he somehow thought he can do it which was obviously a not a right thinking of him... and after 1 test it got cleared on him he definitely can’t do it... Now, anyone can take a false decision and mostly in Pakistan cricket people remain stickd with their false decisions but here he straight away decided to step down which I think a brave and sincere move... past is past, I give him credit for his current decision.

a few days back he said he was ready to lead team 4 yrs ago yet to announce retirement this quick is just bizarre I am still not sure if it’s admirable or down right stupid to actually accept he doesn’t have the temperament for test cricket but one thing he did bring in , pak under him atleast looked a team. all said and done 42 is a little two late to announce retire from test cricket

Oooh things are getting more and more excited. Supposedly Ijaz Butt didn't take too kindly to Afridi announcing his retirement without consulting the board and now he may be sacked from captaincy in ODIs and T20s

Only sacked? PCB have gone soft, where is the ban?

What the hell do you expect from a dumb***** who started chewing on the ball in front of millions? Yes, Afridi is a complete retard, but so are the people, fans and PCB who actually expected this clown to be anything other than the train wreck, circus act that he is.

Somewhere out there, Younis Khan and Mo Yousuf are quietly celebrating, sipping a bottle of champagne, over a cosy, candle lit dinner together and looking deep into each other's eyes and saying: "I told you so!"

I am not shocked at the loss, but the after-reaction -- of all things indicate -- these guys expected to win and steam roll Aus ? These guys -- they always, Always, ALWAYS set un-realistic expectations and come crashing down. They beat Aus in a T-20 and were over the moon. The general assumption was they were ready to beat the Aussies. It is unbelievale --as to how many time have they gotten their ass roasted -- just because they have set an unrealistic expectation.
