King Tendulkar Posted November 13, 2010 Posted November 13, 2010 And 50 for GG. Another thread bites the dust. When are people going to learn. Proven great players can go out form now and then, they all do. But you back them and they will come back. FORM IS TEMPORARY CLASS IS PERMANENT
Gunner_Mania Posted November 13, 2010 Posted November 13, 2010 I think it is just a temporary dip. Hopefully he will bounce back before this series is over. He has not had a run of matches this year due to injuries' date= his personal choices etc. If he remains in jury free and gets a few matches under his belt together, I am sure he will come back roaring. :hatsoff:
saneindian Posted November 13, 2010 Posted November 13, 2010 Well done Gauti. The best thing about today's knock was that he got to spend time in the middle. The timing may not be there, but he will feel better. Very good signs. Well done to Dhoni too for publicly backing one of his key players.
Pak_Forever Posted November 13, 2010 Posted November 13, 2010 This guy was in a phenomenal form last year. How can you even question his performance and few failures in a batting line-up like India. His real test though will come in South Afrcia against Steyn on good wickets.
Andy Posted November 13, 2010 Author Posted November 13, 2010 And 50 for GG. Another thread bites the dust. When are people going to learn. Proven great players can go out form now and then, they all do. But you back them and they will come back. FORM IS TEMPORARY CLASS IS PERMANENT I dont think a Thread discussing 'What is Wrong' gets dead after he starts performing well like he did today. This is not at all a Bashing thread like the RD one "RD needs to be Dropped'. Everytime we feel negetive about His batting we can discuss on that issue over here, even if he does well.
King Tendulkar Posted November 13, 2010 Posted November 13, 2010 ^ Fair point. This was not one of those OTT bashing threads! He was out of form so worth discussing. Still did not look in great nick despite his battling 50!
fineleg Posted November 14, 2010 Posted November 14, 2010 Scratchy 50, but hope he can work his way to form in the next few inn in the series. He's an important pklayer for SA tour
gaurav92 Posted November 14, 2010 Posted November 14, 2010 This was scratchy innings, but looking in his eyes, he was very determined for this innings. He really was pumped up when he got there. We never see gauti celebrating his 50, he normally does that when he gets to the 3 figure mark. But this just hows how dearly he loved this innings. Now i am sure he will be back and score tons of runs in the upcoming test and the series in SAF :good:
Lord Posted November 14, 2010 Posted November 14, 2010 good innings,he took his helmet off for a 50,just shows what it means for him, dissapointed got out in unlucky way.hopefully can do well in next minnings or match
Ranjha Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 The innings was scratchy at best..Hopefully this will bring him back to form.
