where is this coming from? ? apart from the first test against the saffers he has been in scintillating form and among the runs in all the matches.he has been better than anybody in test cricket in the 2nd innings.

Ups and downs are a part of cricket. He reached his peak in the last 2 years. So the law of averages is catching up with him.

He never really did solve his penchant for having a rigid front foot pointing towards cover. When he is circumspect, he tends to check that habit. But when he is full of confidence as he was in the first Test after his 80 odd in the warm up game, old habits reasserted and there he was - caught in front embarrassingly without any hope of getting bat to make contact with the ball.

Gambhir is a superb batsman. He`s just going through a lean patch right now as it is with every other player. I`m sure he`ll come back strong as ever

Gambhir's Feet Movement a worry? In last one year too many times Gambhir has gone out after getting some start. Looks as if he is not moving his feet properly and getting out either bowled or LBW. Is it a worry before SA series?

He is not in his zone. He used to be 'ungetouttable' batsman not long ago. Couple of bad shots, couple of good balls you find yourself in the middle of a slump. He just has to shrug it off and play a big one. With Viru it is not that hard to find form as all the bowlers will be focussing on him.

Gambhir's form is a big worry before SA series. He has to use the NZ series to find form. They will carry M. Vijay anyway to SA so playing 11 depends on which of the two is in better shape in December.
