why should we cheer for him. He is not playing for my team, if he takes those 2 wickets it will of course mean that we would have lost the game so why the eff would any Indian cricket fan support him. I respect him a lot for his achievements but i would never cheer him when he is bowling against India and winning a match for his country against us. I am with Yoda on this one.

Good on Murali, fully deserves to get to 800 test wickets. Hopefully not at the cost of this test match for India. It would be befitting if Murali got to 800 and won the match for Sri Lanka but I'm hoping India can draw while Murali ends up on 799. Just like Don Bradman ended up on 99.9 Murali will be talked about heaps if he falls one number short of 800.
