bhanu Posted July 22, 2010 Posted July 22, 2010 I think pakistan will win this test match for sure no matter what :two_thumbs_up:
Cricket_Guru Posted July 22, 2010 Posted July 22, 2010 Yes, We've done it! Oh No, They Won it! This has been the story for us Pakistani fans for past 2 years. I mean how can a team loose from the position of sri lankan 1st test, newzealand 1st test, australia sydney test, and now australia edgbaston test. we go sleep with peace for one day but go in nightmares for next few days. so lets have some neutral suggestions and answers to this unanswered question.(please keep the bashing and anti-pak virus out of this thread)
siddhu Posted July 22, 2010 Posted July 22, 2010 hmmm... i will start but you are not going to like it. This happens because... ...PCB selects the team at whims and fancies ...PCB does not have proper plan/vision for the team ...PCB selects the team with more "notes from the politicians" than the runs they score ...PCB itself is the biggest enemy of Pak cricket. ...Some players suck bigtime but keep getting selected into the team. ...No mental stability in the players themselves ...No test temperament among the players and players with test temperament either suspended/banned. ...Too much T-20 exposure. And above all, ...I think too much player power since Imran Khan. That should never have been allowed. Now everybody thinks that he is Imran Khan and want to emulate him and fail miserably. And PCB then tries to fix the issue by bungling up more. Its a vicious circle. Have fun for the rest of the match.

Chandan Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 I like the positive attitude from at least one fan of Pakistan. Pakistan's batting is very iffy and as it shows their bowlers also lack resolve to break parterships when the pitch eases out and going gets tough. But the entire team is very inexperienced and to expect them to fire from day one against any team is a folly. Yet, they are getting better and hope they gain the position which they had at the start of this decade. All the best Pakistan.
Clarke Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 No mercy for da neighbor .. lets go Australiaaaa :band:
EnterTheVoid Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 Optimism bordering on the delussional, this team can't bat, can't bowl, can't field. Just watch as they self implode Sydney style and Australia romp home to a 14 - 0 win.

thevortex Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 I would love to see Pakistan win. But I think thats very diffficult now that Ponting and Clarke have gotten stuck in the middle. Ponting was hugely lucky when Koertzen did not give him out when he deliberately padded one that was going onto hit the stumps.

I want the test playing nations to return back to the healthy position they were 10 years back. Now playing with WI or NZ or Pak is like playing minnows of Zim or Bangladesh. If you are a lover of test cricket and want to see it in a healthy state you have wish for the return of Pak, NZ and WI or else tests will remain exciting only when played between India, SA, Australia or SL at home. I do not want these test nations going down the drain and will always hope for their revival if tests have to saved for future. thank u bhai ..:hatsoff: woth love from pakistan I'm a female Imran. Hope Pak break the partnership early today.
EnterTheVoid Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 Cant bowl? My God - they have a bowling attack which can almost be venerated' date=' Sree :)[/quote'] Their intensity drops off when the going gets tough, as was shown yesterday during the Ponting - Clarke partnership. I think their bowling attack is over rated to be honest, when was the last time they took 20 wickets to win a test match ? For all the hype of being one of the best bowling attacks, where are the results ? Heck, even the tail enders scored 120 odd runs off them in the last match with Hilfenhaus getting a 50.
Guest sachin200 Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 Pak will lose this 1 also akhir Pakistan Australia ko kab harae gha test match mein Atleast i am gonna win 20 million bet :yay::yay: JEETEY GHA BAHEE JEETEY GHA AUSTRALIA JEETEY GHA :two_thumbs_up:
Bublu Bhuyan Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 Can't really say right now. Aussies are really freakish. Add to that this Pak batting line up has the ability to choke like anything. The way they lost the 1st Test against Sri Lanka and the Sydney Test, reminds me that anything is possible for them.

Like youself, I too am a fan of test cricket and hope to see competetive contests but I am not convinced they can win. Australia have inflicted such a heavy psycholigical damage on them over the past 15 years, even when they are in a dominating position, memories of past failures continue to haunt them. They just don't know how to win. Even if they lose this match, from a spectators perspective, a lot of satisfaction can be derived from this series. For instance, the working Asiif gave to Clarke last night just before the close of play, heart in mouth stuff.

I would say the pitch eased off Sree. I really think they have an enviable bowling lineup. Mohammad Aamer is quite possibly the best fast bowler in action now. Dale Steyn might have something to say about that. But he will be the first one to admit that he does not have either the versatile skill or the variety of Aamer. Raw pace, yes. Lets see how the youngster grows. It scares me that he is only 18 now.
achilles Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 It was a joke. I thought it was okay given the rubbish against Pakistan that gets posted around. But yes, I will be careful next time. Guys, like Wicky says, lets keep it clean :)
Zap_Brannigan Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 Well, if Pakistan doesn't win, they can always ask Hilary Clinton Why India wins against Australia but Pakistan doesn't and can she give them a win.

Ponting was hugely lucky when Koertzen did not give him out when he deliberately padded one that was going onto hit the stumps. I can't believe how often he gets away with that. How the hell can he just keep padding up at the start of the innings. Absolutely ridiculous stuff
