Spider Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 It would have to be Ponting, having won three WC's not to mention the flogging he gave India in the final. I think us Indians have more to hate Ponting for than Pak who cant win anything.
asterix Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 Ponting's chasing Sachin's records, so that's one angle.. In an ideal World, Ponting should score enough to win the match for Australia against Pakistan but fail to make any more centuries..:giggle:
EnterTheVoid Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 Hoping the adopted paki gets a hundred here :D
Sachinism Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 Pakistan I hate because of a lot of their fans Ponting because he's a scumbag and is one lucky over-rated tosspot
Fontaine Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 I don't hate Ponting. But I despise the Pakistan Team/PCB only because they tolerate cheats in their squad from doping offenders that go unpunished like Asif/Akhtar to players that deliberately undermine and tear away at team unity.
Spider Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 Its a cultral thing for Indians to hate, hate is just another word for jealous except if you are the hater. Haters are people that push their self disappointment onto objects like Ponting. If Tendulkar was better than Ponting then why would Tendulkar fans bother hating Ponting, there would be no reason, but if deep down they know Ponting is better than Tendulkar then they need to demonise Ponting as a way of trying to convince themselves that They are wrong and Tendulkar is better than Ponting.
saneindian Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 Aus vs Pakistan, I always want this to be a low scoring affair with Aussies winning it in a close fight. And tests like Sydney 2009 are the best one, Aussies on backfoot, Pakistan having some hope, then collapsing to lose this. Hope Leeds is no different.
King Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 Hate is too strong a word. I quite admire Ponting as long as he can behave. He's a gutsy cricketer. I don't like the current Pakistan set up as half of them seem to have some issues and the PCB in fact encourages by carrying on with them as if nothing happened. This test match I'm with the underdogs, the Aussies.
Jadoo Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 Damn tough question, but would say Pakistan team edges it slightly.
bihutoli Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 Don't really hate either. Seems such a waste of energy. But I'd like whoever is in a stronger position to continue the momentum, just so that the misery of the other increases. Won't mind Ponting going on to score a double, or the Aussies crumbling just when they seem to be climbling out of the hole they're in. Anything in between is not acceptable imo.
King Tendulkar Posted July 23, 2010 Author Posted July 23, 2010 Ponting goes:dance: But paks get a wicket:((
