sudheer kumar Posted August 12, 2010 Posted August 12, 2010 Yuvraj,Rohit..... Obviously more people call them Lazy players. They are match winners...no doubt about it. But at the right time their performance is disappointing Indian fans like me. Ravindra Jadeja's performance is so poor. We expected him as all-rounder. But His bowling and batting...both are weak. If these players don't change their attitude....Then they may not be in the World cup squad. The main problem to Yuvraj and Rohit is Footwork. There is no foot movement in the match against NZ. If footwork is not good.......they should leave those balls to keepers. why should they play it and gives the catch to slip fielder?s. I think Dambulla is also one of the ground for World cup 2011. In this kind of situation coach Kirsten should make right kind of decisions which are useful to win the matches. I hope Yuvraj and Rohit will comeback in form. But I don't think Jadeja will learn. Sorry to Jadeja's fans because he don't have ability to turn the match in India's side. Ashwin should replace him. Good luck to these players in next match.

Sorrt to interrupt but Dambulla is not a World cup venue Colombo is .
Tendulkar_Bhai Posted August 12, 2010 Posted August 12, 2010 Yuvraj has problems with not being able to adjust to certain kinds of balls but in ODI's this is not what his game relies on and he has performed regardless, this however is his downfall in tests. I think when he was dropped he should have been for a longer period, as mentioned above to now bring him back is saying to him u'll be in the team regardless. However failure in this series wont effect his WC chances imo, based on past performances will get him into the team even if he doesnt score a single run now till 9th Feburary. Sharma again is someone we need for the future so should be given chances. Jadega however i want to fail just so we can permantly drop him which will be the inevitable.
King Tendulkar Posted August 12, 2010 Posted August 12, 2010 Last chance for a 23 Year old In Sharma. wow thats harsh. Yuv is amazing odi player, can't be abonded just like that. Jadeja is very ordinary.

achilles Posted August 12, 2010 Posted August 12, 2010 No. We have no adequately experienced and nurtured replacements.
f.b.m Posted August 12, 2010 Posted August 12, 2010 Hopefully its the last tri series that India plays..
Lord Posted August 12, 2010 Posted August 12, 2010 Yuvraj will defintely play the WC, no matter what.I hope Rohit n Jadeja have played thier last game atleast till WC we need to try other players
ZodiaC Posted August 12, 2010 Posted August 12, 2010 No. We have no adequately experienced and nurtured replacements. For Jaddu and Nohit?
Fontaine Posted August 12, 2010 Posted August 12, 2010 I would rather have Yusuf Pathan in the ODI team. His bowling was no worse than Jadeja's but at least once every few matches he would come in a put in a 20 ball half century. We need impact players, not mediocre guys like Jadeja. He seems a good cricketer but not in the international level, especially because he has absolutely no slogging ability. Especially playing in the subcontinent Yusuf Pathan is probably the best we have as the all rounder and he can share the 5th bowler duties with Sehwag/Raina.
coffee_rules Posted August 12, 2010 Posted August 12, 2010 All are useless in trying conditions. we need people like fatman, vadapaav seller, poor man's mendis in the team. Useless northies...
achilles Posted August 12, 2010 Posted August 12, 2010 For Jaddu and Nohit? Yusuf Pathan can do a better job than Jaddu. But Jaddu can provide better variation in the spin attack than Yusuf coz it would help having- 1 Offie (Bhaj) 1 SLA (Jaddu) 1 Leggie PT (Sachin) 1 Offie PT (Viru) 1 SLA PT(Yuvi) I think Ojha can replace Jaddu, provided he improves his batting. And Piyush Chawla... everyone seems to have forgotten him. Nohit is headed nowhere near the Domestic circuit. He's a semi-permanent, given his form in Zimbabwe. All are useless in trying conditions. we need people like fatman' date=' vadapaav seller, poor man's mendis in the team. Useless northies...[/quote'] Names please :hmmm:

But Jaddu can provide better variation in the spin attack than Yusuf coz it would help having- 1 Offie (Bhaj) 1 SLA (Jaddu) 1 Leggie PT (Sachin) 1 Offie PT (Viru) 1 SLA PT(Yuvi) Sachin? You serious? You think he'll be used as a part timer? BTW Yuvi is more than enough for what Jaddu does. Variation on cards alone won't do when he's bowling absolute crap. At best what he can do is to dart them in, that too if we're lucky enough. So basically you need a part timer who can neither bowl or bat? I think Ojha can replace Jaddu, provided he improves his batting. And Piyush Chawla... everyone seems to have forgotten him. Piyush Chawla got reasonably good chances, and didn't utilize it well. Ojha is by far our best spinner now, I would either play - Ojha, Bhajji, Zak and Nehra, or maybe even Irfan. He can not only slog but also bat sensibly according to the situation. Nohit is headed nowhere near the Domestic circuit. He's a semi-permanent, given his form in Zimbabwe. We don't need once in a bluemoon innings, he needs to keep scoring consistently if he wants to keep his place. And BTW Yusuf is not even in the picture.

Tendulkar_Bhai Posted August 12, 2010 Posted August 12, 2010 Think Shewag is our 2nd best spinner behind Bhajji, can do an equally good job as Jadega+Ojha put together. Dont think Tendulkar will be bowling again.
ZodiaC Posted August 12, 2010 Posted August 12, 2010 agree that Yusuf is a better option than Jadeja' date='but cant see how hes better than Irfan.Yusuf can only slog.he cant stabilize if we lose early wickets.plus we have spinners as part timers anyway,so why not have a seamer as a 5th bowler?[/quote'] ++ Irfan is much more consistent than Yusuf, and he can slog well too.
