Shehezaada Posted April 29, 2010 Posted April 29, 2010 Since the 4th of this month' date=' I've lost 9 kgs.[/quote'] what have you been doing? That's like 20 pounds in 25 days...sounds unhealthy to me man
nballa Posted April 29, 2010 Posted April 29, 2010 what have you been doing? That's like 20 pounds in 25 days...sounds unhealthy to me man mostly water weight. that's what people lose when they go on a crash diet. but even then 20 lbs is too much so its probably 10 pounds water and 10 pounds BullSh1t.

Nope. I followed a diet of around 1000 calories a day. My secret is a yoga by Baba Ramdev called "Kapalbhati". I used to drink two glasses of warm water early in the morning, and then do kapalbhati for about 15 minutes, along with some other yogas as well. I know that crash dieting basically means jack, since the only thing you lose is water and muscle tissues. Add to that the metabolism slows down, and the loss of muscle tissues make sure that your metabolism suffers in the long run. Starving/crash diet is the absolute worst thing that a person looking to lose weight can end up doing. BTW, can anyone guess how much weight I lost in the first 5 days of following the diet (about 1000 calories a day) and doing the yogas? 5 kgs!! That's right. And I can assure you that it's not water weight or the weight of muscle tissues. Here's my diet - Breakfast - 1 glass of milk, about a bowl of grapes, and occasionally some other fruit. Lunch - 3 chappaties, with mutton liver fried with onion (it completely makes me full) Dinner - 2 chappaties, and some vegetable fry. Mind you, the quantity of the liver fry and the vegetable fry is not scarce. It's quite a lot which completely makes me full.

Trying won't help. Just stop eating junk food from this very moment. Follow a diet of about 1000 calories a day, and buy the DVD of Baba Ramdev on Obesity. it's available on eBay, and that's where I brought it for myself. I bet my last dime that if you follow Babaji along with that diet, you'll get in shape in 6 months time.

Guest Gunner Posted April 30, 2010 Posted April 30, 2010 ^^I never eat more than 1000 calroies on an average day.
Shehezaada Posted April 30, 2010 Posted April 30, 2010 Read post #467. bro...you should get checked up by Lurker...tell him exactly what your doing, exercise, and diet wise exactly. You don't wanna play around with your health....especially when your young.
Shehezaada Posted August 16, 2010 Posted August 16, 2010 Lurker bhai!! BUMP! Ok brother, I've been following a pretty good routine for the last 3.5 months, but I wanted to check with you on how to do get to the next level. Again, my goal is to get a cut, chiselled body...not bulk. Since the last time I've talked to you, I'm standing near 5 10, between 147 and 150 pounds, and a flat stomach. My goals are athleic (stronger, leaner, faster) and this will obvously make me look better. Here's what I'm doing right now: Day 1 -> Arms and Abs Day 2 -> Chest and Back Day 3 -> Shoulders and Legs Day 4 -> Arms and Abs Day 5 -> Chest and Back Day 6 -> Shoulders and Legs Day 7 -> OFF I do each body part in seperate sessions, approximatly 20-30 minutes for each body part. As for the individual exercises I do for those, they are mostly recommonedatios from you :) Do you think I'm not getting enough rest? I'm gettng through these workouts OK so far....enough to have done it for 14 weeks. I'm also 22 and blessed with lots of energy. To summarize my questions for you: 1) Do you think this is excessive? I don't train with more then 15 pounds weights 2) If so, should I implement something where I'm lifting 4 days and cardio on the rest? 3) Can you prescribe a nice diet plan I can follow if you have some time? I can eat chicken, I can cook (pretty horribly...). I don't want to be put on any supplements though. Sorr for the long post boss! Whenever you have time if you could educate me, I'd appreciat that. I've been following your advice for 1.5 years now and you've always given me AWESOME advice....thanks boss!
beetle Posted August 16, 2010 Posted August 16, 2010 omg! what did you do? have a baby?? I didn't lose that much weight:sniffle: even when I had my baby......:(( I have seen Kapalbhati work for some people...but yoga doesn't work for me any longer...I just lose concentration or feel sleepy....
CricketGirl Posted August 16, 2010 Posted August 16, 2010 aaahhh well i dont know if things are the same for you hun but i know the post natal diet my mother in law swears by consists of pure ghee and lots of carbs and lots jaggery!! apparently the health benefits are priceless but in terms of weight its a diet full of saturated fat if you ask me so losing weight post natally in culture isnt always easy!
punjabi_khota Posted August 16, 2010 Posted August 16, 2010 if you can do a pushup for each time you have a nasty thought about pakistan' date=' you'll be John Abraham[/quote'] :hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical: How did I miss this gem :nice:
