i mostly check this site from my phone these days .... I dont think it matters who has the highest number of posts. One thing i must admit, i have made some friends here. A better measure would be PPT (post per thread) ala RPT.. :cantstop: On the similar lines, has anybody ever tried RPD (runs per day, with days being considered over entire duration of test career) to assess greatness of different batsmen? I think it could be very popular measure among certain sections of the society as Sachin doesn't do very well on that, primarily because he wasn't that prolific to start with and India didn't play many test in early 90's. RPD value for Sachin's test career is 1.90 while for Dravid is 2.36. These findings are inline with findings of some other experts on ICF who claim that Sachin owns all these records, just because duration for which he played cricket has been longer than other cricketers. Using this statistical mesure we can see, if Dravid had also played for 22 years, as Sachin did, then he would have scored atleast 20% more runs than Sachin did. In nutshell, Just like RPT, RPD also curtails unfair advantage that some players derive, while being judged on aggregational statistical measures like Total runs, total centuries etc, on the flimsy reason of having a longer cricketing career. I can even go on to say that RPD achieves above-stated objective in much better way than what RPT does. Only consolation for Sachin Fanatics could be that Bradman would rank much lower on RPD than Sachin :two_thumbs_up::two_thumbs_up:, thanks to that great man known as Hitler. I never knew that Hitler would determine that how a cricketer would be seen, generations later. Time permitting will try to write more on RPD. We can also explore other derived measures like RPM (Runs per minute) or RPS (Runs per Second) etc.

RPD or RPM will into account all days/minutes spanning across the duration of entire cricketing career. So to calculate RPM for Dravid, you'll have to take all munites into account from 20 June 1996 till now, not only just the ones when he was on crease. I hope I made myself clear. :cantstop:
