The closer the World Cup is getting, the more I am wishing I could go watch it and experience this once in a lifetime opportunity. To follow and watch the team all over the country is quite an experience. And this will probably be the last WC for some of the players. If you've got the time and resources, then GO AND WATCH IT!

can anyone point me to a nice world cup time table that I can print out and paste it on the wall? Back in India the newspapers used to have a full page of the color schedule .... something like that would be AWESOME.

The $129 package in US on Willow is not a bad deal, IMO. They will be giving 6 months free from June onwards as part of the package, which means India-England, India-WI would be available for free in addition to stuff like Aus-SA, Aus-SL.

Hi fellow cricket fans, Is anyone here planning to be at the stadium for the WC opening match at Dhaka between India and Bangladesh? I plan to be there. It's my visit to Dhaka & it will be nice to know some who will be there as well. Cheers!

India fans traveling to Dhaka Is there a place where people are going to gather the night before the match or the day of the match? I've never been to Dhaka. Is there a pub or a restaurant or someplace near the stadium?

yes there is a road called tor mukhe pede debo Rd. Whatever you do, don't go near that road especially if you have asthma or breathing problems.

Why would Indian fans go to Dhaka? Wouldn't they go to some Indian city?
Because of the first match that is being played in Mirpur stadium. I suggest you guys go to radison hotel or westin hotel, they have nice bars and a lot of times you can run into beautiful foreign ladies. Also, if you are looking for night club maybe IC, nice to party. Don't go to DhakaClub, as it's filled with old peope in their 50s. Near the stadium I am not sure, I have never been to a stadium to watch live cricket, but after the match you can try the hotels for a few drinks.

so is the warmup match shown on tv?
I heard somewhere you'll get to see India's games for sure. Dunno which other games will be covered. But I feel they would be. In England they usually cover them all - but just show highlights in the evening
