nballa Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 I gotto tell ya, im not a big fan of this method. after watching my fellow indians getting busted by dateline nbc by 30 going 13 females and a few of my buddies getting arrested for offering under cover female police officers rides in downtowns i got to thinking if this kind of trap is a good way to catch potential criminals. as far as i can tell no crime has been committed and given different circumstances maybe the people will act and think differently. maybe a change of mind and maybe avoid doing this stuff. after all these are first time offenders. i have no problems putting repeat offenders behind bars.

It is not always possible to get evidence for crimes....does that mean we sit and do nothing.If entrapment gets the crooks behind bars...so be it. Most govt babus and politicians are too smart to leave evidence of their planned crimes...this is the only way to get them....btw...this should be in chit chat.

Rajan Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 the crucial differences between the entrapment of ur friends and these crooks : 1.the entire pakistan team was aware of Danish Kaneria's case in spot fixing in a county game, his subsequent booking by police. that shows Spot fixing is a punishable offence.even if he is just 18,St.Ameer is neither deaf or dumb or blind, 2.the team management officially instructed the players to stay away from the Majeed brothers.again, you cant ignore the specific instructions and get in to danger. 3. there is solid evidence that Ameer has exchanged text messages and phone calls with Majeed.it is not as if he was an innocent saint, coerced/threatened.. u can defend whole day but thank God, this is not PCB territory!scotland yard will nail the culprits, i would like to see what salman has to say about-"these are just allegations", then..
