Your initial accusation was this : You mentioned the groups opposing the mosque near ground zero - and I responded that those protests are peaceful and non-violent. You did not refer to the Tennesse incident. I of course am against vandalizing mosques, when did I say otherwise. Temples, mosques, churches or any religious place should never be vandalized.

So you pick and chose those demonstrations that are ‘peaceful’, while turning blind to the obviously violent, criminal actions of arson and assault? Where was your outrage at these incidents? Or are you going to tell me you didn’t know about them at all?

[/quote']I didnt pick and choose, you asked about the protests against the Manhattan mosque and I replied specifically that those protests are peaceful.

Where was your outrage at these incidents? Or are you going to tell me you didn’t know about them at all?

There are any number of violent activities, doesnt mean I support them if I dont post on this forum condemning them. However, I do admit, that I am more aware and sensitive to what happens in India to Hindus rather than what happens in the USA to muslims. After all I am a Hindu and that post regarding the violence in West Bengal was relevant to this thread in my opinion.

By the way, the West Bengal situation is serious. The army has been called out now.

Army out after Deganga rioting BARASAT: The Army had to be called out to quell communal clashes that erupted at Deganga in North 24-Parganas on Monday night. Nearly 30 people, including two policemen, were injured in the violence that continued till Tuesday morning. The last time the Army was out in Bengal was when rioting broke out in parts of Kolkata over the writings of Taslima Nasreen in November 2007. The flare-up at Deganga was sparked by a stray comment when a religious procession was passing by a disputed plot in an area with mixed demography. Officials at Writers' Buildings said the Army had to be called out mobs rampaging through streets pelted stones at the police and could not be brought under control by personnel of the Rapid Action Force, the Central Reserve Police Force and the Border Security Force. "We did not want matters to get out of hand and requisitioned the Army. Soldiers have started route marches in the area and things have started returning to normal," a senior Army official said. Deganga is about 35 km from Kolkata and close to the India- Bangladesh border. That statement of yours would have at least an iota of credibility had you spent at least quarter of the time time you spend haranguing muslims, in condemning acts of injustice against them. Till now, I have not come across even a single post of yours expressing outrage at these obvious acts of crime directed against muslims and your explanation for that is ‘I didn’t know them.. How am I supposed to condemn things I am not even aware of’? And I do think it is weird co-incidence that most of the incidents that you do know, are actually those Muslims committing the crime. Here’s a possible explanation - Could it be because you go looking for them, while turning the blind-eye, when the tables are turned?

First of all I am not looking from any stamp of credibility from you. Beyond stating that I condemn violence against religious places (unless of course they harbor terrorists or some such thing) there is nothing much I can say in response to your queries. You seem to have made your mind up about my intent or worldview which is really a peripheral matter IMO.

Talk is cheap and doing hit and run sorties on Internet forums is even cheaper. If you have any intellectual honesty I have a few pointed questions that I want to ask and Iam pretty certain that you will hit the exit in a few posts. But if you have the integrity and the requisite honesty I have quite simply limitless patience to explain the viewpoint that you are calling "uneducated" without rhetorics or abuse. But any hit and run sorties of the sort indulged by the resident thekedars of "sickularism" will be dealt with in exactly the same manner.

I think everyone here is on a consensus that Lord Ram existed. It is the modus operandi behind the demolition that has divided more people than unite them. Lord Ram wouldn't ask people to disrespect other religions and take down their places of worship to prove his own existence.
