.... then changes to your healthcare starts RIGHT NOW. In approximately 3 hours time, it will be illegal for insurance companies to deny you health coverage because of a pre-existing condition, or impose lifetime limits on your plan. You can also stay on your parents' plan until the age of 26. rA6yK1IlY_g Very very significant changes these. Contrast this to the witch-hunting barbie brigade, that wants to increase retirement age, privatize social security and cut taxes for millionaires, billionaires and corporates.

We have medicare in Australia and it works just fine :yawn2: Anybody can go to the hospital and get treated and go home without paying a single cent :yawn2: At the time of tax ( depending on the salary) most people pay around A$1k for medicare and u can get pvt health insurance to get treated as pvt paitent and have flashy treatment without much wait for elective surgeries :yawn2:

And how do some insurance companies respond to the changes in the laws that says you cannot deny kids with pre-existing conditions health coverage? They drop their health plans for kids altogether.

As a private contractor accountable for my own insurance (Massachusetts has an earlier version of Obamacare and hence its illegal to not have health insurance), the healthcare costs here have headed up, not down since the law was in place... In just the last 3 months, the cost of the most basic healthcare plan has increased from $123/month to $148/month. Thanks Dems! :hatsoff: @rest of American desis - good luck... :((

Why cant a liberal debate without the usage of foul language?! Is that that hard to expect... *Sigh* Mitt Romney is a RINO... Want to know what that means?! Go figure... He is as accountable for bringing the bill as is the Liberal house... No one is absolving him of the discredit for this bill... Btw, good to see the implicit agreement of the fact that the bill results in higher costs for the common man... :giggle: Next time, clean up your mouth...

Because you are a ****ing hypocrite and were thanking dems while that MA healthcare bill is seen as the landmark of Romney

Lol...he is supposed to be one of the frontrunners for 2012 republican presedential bid....
Btw, good to see the implicit agreement of the fact that the bill results in higher costs for the common man... :giggle:
Who decides what is a common man ? It covered people who were not covered before with very affordable rates. So insurance rates went down for them :dontknow:
Next time, clean up your mouth...
whatever dude, you got caught spreading half-truths like your uncle Hannity ...

No one agreed to anything. You just conjured that ‘agreement’ out of thin air We don’t even know the circumstances of the price-rise in your healthcare plan (and I am not even sure you’re telling the truth anyway…) This is like saying ‘Oh look, gas went from $2.80 to $2.85, Obama energy policy is failing..’. See you lost all credibility the moment you blamed the current mess the US economy is in on the Pelosi-Reid duo. To me, the all debates end right there.

I don’t even think Patriot_N is for real.. No one can smart enough as he is (well, anyone who manages to cross the perils of Anna Univ has to be reasonably smart IMO..) and still believe in all those conservative clap-trap.

You are as deluded as Nobama if you think that... One calm reading of my post would have indicated that I was thanking Dems for adopting a tried and FAILED system from one state to nation wide!!! But hey that amount of understanding is too much to expect from some ppl... :giggle: And landmark of Romney? Did you follow his political career at all after that?!
Lol...he is supposed to be one of the frontrunners for 2012 republican presedential bid....
Every freakin speculation is not true buddy... Heck Hillary is also one of the front runners... So that means Obama failed already right?!

I earn well within the middle class income, am i not covered under "common man"?!
whatever dude, you got caught spreading half-truths like your uncle Hannity ...
Yes to anyone who has a problem with basic comprehension (like a loony liberal) it was a half-truth... Thank you for pointing that out... :two_thumbs_up:

You are free to check... My figures from the MA Health Connector...

Disappointing... I blamed them for worsening the mess, not creating it... Get the difference?:winky:

BTW, Mr. common man, MOST people in the US get health insurance through their employer. You are not even part of that bracket, and yet some increase in the insurance rates for you means the policy has failed ? :fear: What kind of 3rd grade logic is that ? Or have you given up logic and facts like most of the republican stars these days ?

Even though I've moved out of the US and have been avoiding the usual dem-repub bashing, it's nice to see things improving back in umreeka. @proponents of small government and more privatisation: would you rather have private police and private firemen as well ?

I pay my taxes just like any other honest immigrant... What I was doing was merely quoting one instance of the hike in rates...
