What was the best Pak team in modern day cricket

I think it was the team of mid to late 70s. This team was good both in tests and ODIs. Not world champs, but good. Much better than the Indian team of that time. Went to the WC semifinal is both 75 and 79. Had success in Aus in 1976-77. Murdered the Indian team that toured Pak in 78-79. No one got spared except the Little Master Sunny who had a great series (his form was at its peak in the late 70s). Majid Khan, Zaheer Abbas, Javed Miandad, Asif Iqbal, Mushtaq Mohammed, Wasim Bari Imran Khan, Sarfraz Nawaz. The difference from other eras is that they had a good balanced team with good batting.

I think in the 90s, they were the most talented team in the world by far. Just too many internal issues and hence never could become a realistic contender for top sides in the world. The tag of "unpredcitability" which they like being associated with has really pawned them since, they should have been expecting to win every series in the 90s considering the potential of that team. But it really didn't accomplish much other than the WC and two series win in Eng. Aamer Sohail/Mohd Wasim Saeed Anwar Ijaz Ahmed Inzamam Salim Malik Basit Ali/Yousuf Moin Khan/Rashid Latif Waqar Younis Wasim Akram Aquib Javed/Shoiab Akhtar Mushtaq Ahmed/ Saqlain Mushtaq This was their golden generation and they didn't make much of it.

Not sure about best. but in terms of worst.. there are lot of worst pakistan teams competing for that spot fiercely :cantstop:
