kabira Posted October 12, 2010 Posted October 12, 2010 I would rate this knock pretty high. There were couple of close calls, but I think those were marginals could have gone either way. They are still not out of jail. But Ponting is key here. If he scores 100, I am sure he will rate this 100 to be one of his best. Batting is no way easy and spinners are bowling really well. Finally Punter has good knock in India.
King Tendulkar Posted October 12, 2010 Posted October 12, 2010 Yeah I suppose. Great Batting:(( Was still plumb though!
ZodiaC Posted October 12, 2010 Posted October 12, 2010 Vintage :punter: Treat to watch, but just wish it wasn't against us :(( Anyways nvm, we're gona win/draw this. :D
Nova Posted October 12, 2010 Posted October 12, 2010 Indeed. Ponting's 2nd innings performance is dismal in India. He will be mighty pleased by this if he sticks around till the end of the day.
Karan114 Posted October 12, 2010 Posted October 12, 2010 Yeah, it has been, as much as I hate to say it.
saneindian Posted October 12, 2010 Posted October 12, 2010 A very good knock indeed. Has been very confident against the spinners.
kabira Posted October 12, 2010 Author Posted October 12, 2010 not probably, but certainly last in Tests.
kabira Posted October 12, 2010 Author Posted October 12, 2010 okay his journey in India is done and dusted. Well he still has poor Avg. in India and thats one reason he cannot be rated high.

cowboysfan Posted October 12, 2010 Posted October 12, 2010 what an awesome innings,he may get victory finally.
someone Posted October 12, 2010 Posted October 12, 2010 okay his journey in India is done and dusted. Well he still has poor Avg. in India and thats one reason he cannot be rated high. I do not think that can be used as a base of evaluating him He is a great player, and one who needs to be respected rather than be bitter about.
thevortex Posted October 12, 2010 Posted October 12, 2010 Ponting is no more a bunny against off spinners - especially Harbhajan. He certainly did well - not just today but in almost all his innings in the Test series.
Bradman99 Posted October 12, 2010 Posted October 12, 2010 okay his journey in India is done and dusted. Well he still has poor Avg. in India and thats one reason he cannot be rated high. Gotta be kidding right?
Sid Posted October 12, 2010 Posted October 12, 2010 His best innings in India, never seen him so assured against spin(in india)
Guest Gunner Posted October 12, 2010 Posted October 12, 2010 Gotta be kidding right? Dude you and the other fellow 99.94 get baited way too often.
kabira Posted October 12, 2010 Author Posted October 12, 2010 Gotta be kidding right? Actually not, I think because of his tainted record in India, he is behind Kallis, Dravids etc. Thats my opinion. Tier 1: Sachin, Lara Tier 2: Kallis, Dravid, Sehwag Tier 2.5: Ponting (Just because of tainted India record) :winky::winky:

kabira Posted October 12, 2010 Author Posted October 12, 2010 ^they just topple ponting because of ponting is poor record in India (which means he can't play spin). Great playes should score runs everywhere.
