Top 5 Greatest Test Victories of the Decade

For India :winky: This has arguably been the best decade for India. Both in ODIs and tests. Our golden generation towards the latter half have dominated some of the top sides, overcome the "abroad" bogie and won from some impossible situations. Now, when i think about it, there have been so many of them. Here is my top 5, at the moment 1. Against Australia in Kolkata in 2001 2. Against Australia in Chennai in 2001 3. Against Australia in Mohali in 2010 4. Against England at Headingley 2003 5. Against Australia at Perth in 2008

^Yeah I was debating that myself. Just felt that the significance of other wins was just mammoth for Indian cricket. It changed the mindset for Indian players and fans.

Id put our win vs Eng in Nottingham in 2007 in the top 5, gave us a very rare overseas series win

My top 10 test wins... 5 are too less for the decade which is a great predicament for Indian fans :) 1. Vs Aus at Kolkatta 2001 (Laxman special) 2. Vs Pak in 2004 (Sehwag triple ton and the first Indian win ever in Pak) 3. Vs Pak in 2004 at Lahore (same series and this test won us the series - nothing better than beating Pak in Pak) 4. Vs Aus at Mohali 2010 (Laxman and Ishant miracle) 5. Vs Aus at Adelaide 2003 (India won after Aus scored 556 in the first innings!!! - Dravid special that test) 6. Vs Aus Chennai 2001 (Laxman series again) 7. Vs SA in 2007 (the one where Sreesanth blew away SA top order and SA were bowled for less than 100!!!) 8. Vs Eng at Chennai in 2008 (chasing 387 to win the game was special) 9. Vs Eng at Headingley in 2003 (batting first in overcast conditions and scoring big) 10. Ind Vs Eng Nottingham 2007 (Ind won the series in Eng after 20+ years) Runner up... 11. Vs SL in 2010 (squaring the series in SL with a depleted squad after Sanga and Jayawardene opened their big mouths regarding India's no. 1 ranking)

If you think about it, home victories against Aus are dime a dozen :rotfl: Only Kolkatta seems BIG ENOUGH for top 5..:two_thumbs_up:

My first pick will be Nottingham test,which started our golden run in test cricket which we are enjoying till now,other four are KOLKATTA ,2001 PERTH,2008 MOHALI,2010 CHENNAI,2008
