nballa
dhobi delivers yet again. unfortunately for him, he is a form is temporary - ugly agricultural hoick is permanent type of player and is not the type of player who can rely of technique ala dravid or tendulkar to get out of a slump. drop him - save indian cricket. fineleg
Dhoni's batting 'technique' is weird. Bottomhand jabbing strongly against spinners - maybe its leading to a lot of soft dismissals. He needs to sort out his own batting, since no coach can help with unorthodox batting technique that MSD has. Very worrying though that the lack of runs from him when we are 5 or 6 down and in trouble. Link to comment
King
You guys are now on to undoing Dhoni's technique. If this is the technique that has got him to this stage, why the heck would he change it because of a single dismissal? Laxman's isn't orthdox, Gilly's wasn't orthodox, Chanderpaul isn't orthodox. Get this, there are very few technically strong batsmen and out of them most are suited to bat at the top with that sort of orthodox technique. His technique suits no.6 perfectly, like anyone he can also get out. You guys just don't seem to have a grasp of the game, don't expect everyone to bat like Tendulkar. Link to comment

J P K
Dhoni in a sense, a victim of his own success. Our earlier keepers were diabolical with the bat and suddenly this guy who could score hundreds came along In tests, his primary job is to keep well and an average of 35 odd will be good enough. gaurav92
Sehwag says hello to you nballa. Shwag has nothing in his book called "Feet Movement, Compact Technique."He ha his own way of playing, his own technique. But he has two things that just outclasses everything. 1) balance 2) Hand Eye Co-ordination. CSK Fan
Very disappointing tour for Dhoni with the bat. He was one of the reason we used to close out chases easily. Hopefully he would be better in India Link to comment
Sachinism
Dhoni's form has been a huge worry. Played some decent innings in the test matches. Don't know if its a worry yet, but WC could be a huge turning point for him Link to comment
The Realist
Dhoni needs to resign the captaincy after the WC. He has gone stale and and it would be the natural end of a cycle. Need fresh ideas and thinking post WC. Link to comment

Need fresh ideas and thinking post WC. Resign for what? Not losing a test series ever and for winning 2 back to back ODIs vs SA with a weaker team (which no other captain has achieved)?
