nballa Posted October 15, 2010 Posted October 15, 2010 doesn't score runs. poor wicketkeeping. poor technique i sometimes wonder if he is even test class. we need a specialist in the keeper position and someone who can contribute with the bat. everytime he comes out to bat we must mentally get prepared for the tail. and please don't say captaincy because i didn't see any moves from him to positively influence any match and if it were it can just be attributed to sheer luck. Lets face it the guy has been lucky most of his career and its just a coincidence that he is playing in a team of matchwinners right now and gets all credit for it.
vaibhav_delhi Posted October 15, 2010 Posted October 15, 2010 LOL. Dhoni is one of the greatest captains ever. A sharp keeper and Gutsy batter. Whole of india recognizes his importance. I dont want to resort to personal attacks , so I wud stop here.
Cricket_Guru Posted October 15, 2010 Posted October 15, 2010 i dont trust nballa being a pakistani, retarded:nervous: Dhoni, check his cricinfo profile, that's enough evidence of dhoni's performance
Ram Posted October 15, 2010 Posted October 15, 2010 Couldn’t agree more with the OP, every single syllable of it.
nballa Posted October 15, 2010 Author Posted October 15, 2010 You are at it again :yawn2: LOL. Dhoni is one of the greatest captains ever. A sharp keeper and Gutsy batter. I dont want to resort to personal attacks , so I wud stop here. i dont trust nballa being a pakistani, retarded:nervous: Dhoni, check his cricinfo profile, that's enough evidence of dhoni's performance provide a brief but detailed description of his contribution with his gloves and bat in india's past few test victories.
RamP Posted October 15, 2010 Posted October 15, 2010 who is this nballs? has he ever posted anything nice about india or indian cricketers?
Mamu Posted October 15, 2010 Posted October 15, 2010 I agree with nballa. We should summon Karman Akmal immediately, give him an Indian Passport and a $1 Million IPL Contract with Gay Riders !

yoda Posted October 15, 2010 Posted October 15, 2010 In the last 2 years he averages 56. http://stats.cricinfo.com/ci/engine/player/28081.html?class=1;spanmax1=15+Oct+2010;spanmin1=15+Oct+2008;spanval1=span;template=results;type=allround;view=match Plus he is the captain of the side.

yoda Posted October 15, 2010 Posted October 15, 2010 averages mean nothing. show me a match winning display in the past few tests. where he rose to the occasion' date= pulled his team out of trouble, something like that. :giggle: stop clutching to straws and accept that you had no clue that he was averaging 56 in the last 2 years during our ascent to number 1. :finger:
punjabi_khota Posted October 15, 2010 Posted October 15, 2010 averages mean nothing. show me a match winning display in the past few tests. where he rose to the occasion' date=' pulled his team out of trouble, something like that.[/quote'] He is a #7 batsman for ****'s sake.
ravishingravi Posted October 15, 2010 Posted October 15, 2010 averages mean nothing. show me a match winning display in the past few tests. where he rose to the occasion' date=' pulled his team out of trouble, something like that.[/quote'] Apparently he does not have to when India is winning more than 60% of the tests under him and have lost only two tests that I recall. So, you can say he is not getting tested much.
ZodiaC Posted October 15, 2010 Posted October 15, 2010 He's the best wicketkeeping batsman around, so I don't see what's your problem? Though I don't agree with many of his tactics, and rate don't him higly as a captain he's doing his part well and we're winning games. His keeping may not be the best, but again he's a pretty decent keeper if you ignore the current ****ups. Overall can't demand much from a #7 wicket keeping batsman who's the captain of the team as well! I'd take gladly take it even if he's an FTB, period.
nballa Posted October 15, 2010 Author Posted October 15, 2010 I dont get the logic behind some of the posts 'overall india is doing well under him so he is doing a good job' 'he is doing his part' really? you guys just dont get it. we dont need guys that can fill places. he can easily make room for a matchwinner. its almost like he is just sitting there doing nothing while the team wins matches. again captaincy doesn't count. and counting on raina to get a breakthrough is not brilliant captaincy. its pure luck. heck even i set fields for the players. it really is not a big deal.

vvvslaxman Posted October 15, 2010 Posted October 15, 2010 averages mean nothing. show me a match winning display in the past few tests. where he rose to the occasion' date=' pulled his team out of trouble, something like that.[/quote'] He is a keeper batting at no.7. What do you want.. A double century?
