Jersey #10 Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 I am very strongly convinced that India would not have won this series 2-0 without the aid of Sachin Tendulkar. It was clearly a one man show through out. Without the amount of runs he added, everyone else would have looked mediocre in the lost cause. Please, spare a thought

Jersey #10 Posted October 17, 2010 Author Posted October 17, 2010 ^How about sparing your time away from these "sachin" threads for that reason?

Jersey #10 Posted October 17, 2010 Author Posted October 17, 2010 No doubt, Indian bowling was very good but honestly they weren't as good as the hype. The bowling in the first innings of both games was dreadful. OZ lineup managed over 400 runs in both. The bowlers had very good comeback on the later days but I feel that batters saved the day on both occasions. Sachin was obviously the best of the batting lot hence the OP> So much hatred! If you don't love TESTS, you get hammered here If you don't love Laxman, you get hammered here If you don't hate the IPL, you get hammered here etc., If you belong to any of the above, all your threads get hammered here! I guess I haven't really learned to live with the flow so you all can hate me as much as you can! Bring it on people

King Tendulkar Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 Imagine the planet being warm without the sun!

So to belittle the bowlers' contribution to any test win is an insult to their effort.
Jersey #10 Posted October 17, 2010 Author Posted October 17, 2010  Thanks for admitting you have no clue about difference between pitch on day 1 and pitch on day 4. You know why Dhoni praised bowlers more than batsmen? Thanks for judging me sir. I have not seen or known anyone with more knowledge of cricket than you so there can't be a better judge of a cricket fan than you the mighty. I admire your practice of god given right of judging people. You are the ultimate guru and whoever doesn't agree with you is totally wrong. gtfo now

Had it not been for Sachin India wouldn't have chased the mammoth totals in the first innings of both games hence a follow on or a big trail would have resulted in either draw or loss in both games.
Zap_Brannigan Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 worst post of the week!! Sachin played an important role, but so did Zaheer. In a series in which both teams scored 450 in 1st innings, he was the only bowler who averaged less than 30. Murali averages fking 80. Laxman played a crucial 70 odd with #10. Ojha bowled beautifully that Aussies became pussies when scoring against him. Bhajji did his part. Puraja squashed any psychological advantage of chasing in the 2nd innings. Dravid was solid in 1st test.
cowboysfan Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 imagine winning 10 tosses in a row!!.****ing whitewashes and high fives allround.
Tendulkar_Bhai Posted October 18, 2010 Posted October 18, 2010 Yes he played a crucial part in the victory and in hindsight without his 200+ runs we probably wouldnt have won, but the same can be said of Zaheer, VVS and everyone else, it was a great team performance and whenever we win tests we bowl well as a team rather than 1/2 bowlers running through the batsmen.
Debutant Posted October 18, 2010 Posted October 18, 2010 The bowlers played a huge part in the win.You just cant ignore them. Many other batsmen contributed too. This was a TEAM effort.Just telling that win was because of Sachin is totally wrong. But Sachin played a BIG part too. :two_thumbs_up:
vaibhav_delhi Posted October 18, 2010 Posted October 18, 2010 Imagine the 2-0 win without Zaheer Imagine the 2-0 win without VVS Imagine the 2-0 win without Ohja ++ am sure even sachin'd be embarassed by such threads.
