Kriterion Posted November 25, 2010 Posted November 25, 2010 He has resgistered that on more than one ocassion to be a coincidence. Even in the T20 series and ODIs he was averaging around 145 and touching 150s occasionaly. Wait till we reach SA and check the speed guns then. Am sure he will be over 140 all the time if he bowls with the same rythm he is bowling now it seems that speed guns used in Australia and England add a few miles to everyone's pace. i suspect this has something to do with the perception of Mitchell Johnson and even Shaun Tait and possibly even Brett Lee himself. Of course Lee and Tait are amongst the fastest bowlers ever, but even still their true speeds are possibly a bit lower than we all think. the reason i say this is that every single bowler bowls his highest pace during tours to Australia or England. far too often to be a coincidence or a matter of "oh the wickets offer more, so bowlers are bending their backs". one only has to look at Mohammad Amir and Ishant Sharma. both reached 150 km in their first australia tours, but has either of them even got remotely close to that number before or since?
Sid Posted November 25, 2010 Posted November 25, 2010 Oh ,thanks for correcting,I didnt knew that :--D
Fontaine Posted December 18, 2010 Posted December 18, 2010 It's actually hilarious. The ONLY argument so far I've heard about Sreesanth being included in the team for SA is: "Hopefully he'll do well because he did well 4 years ago." :hysterical: It's like nevermind the guys isn't express any more, can't bowl three good deliveries in a row, never mind he's a nut case, never mind his average/strike rate and all other stats suck. Let's forget all those facts. Let's just hope. Yeah, that should be enough against the 2nd ranked test side in the world with a formidable battling lineup in their own back yard. Hope. :hysterical: Where are all the people that said Sreesanth must be picked because he did so well in SA years ago? :hysterical:
fineleg Posted December 18, 2010 Posted December 18, 2010 Where are all the people that said Sreesanth must be picked because he did so well in SA years ago? Sree has certainly been pwned! But then its not totally surprising - on any given day, we all know that either of the Sreesanth avatars can turn up - the good one or the dancing donkey. Turns out so far the latter has shown up in SA. Then again, Ishant hasn't done terrific either.
Sooda Posted December 18, 2010 Posted December 18, 2010 Who should we have picked instead then Fontaine? IMO Praveen and Mithun should have been in the squad but Santh is always going to be one of our first choice pace trio...
fineleg Posted December 18, 2010 Posted December 18, 2010 Who should we have picked instead then Fontaine? IMO Praveen and Mithun should have been in the squad but Santh is always going to be one of our first choice pace trio... Agreed. Its not like India has a wealth of pace bowling options!!
King Tendulkar Posted December 18, 2010 Posted December 18, 2010 The vultures are out in full force today. India will fight back
Fontaine Posted December 18, 2010 Posted December 18, 2010 Who should we have picked instead then Fontaine? IMO Praveen and Mithun should have been in the squad but Santh is always going to be one of our first choice pace trio... How about any left arm swing bowler with half a brain? That immediately would be an upgrade over the dancing donkey.

CG Posted January 4, 2012 Posted January 4, 2012 india need sree in place of ishu :nervous: I am a fan of both of them,But ishant has lost his swing due to which even if he is bowling 140+ batsman are able to line him up,Ishant of 2008-09 was effective at 135+ with swing ,But now its just up and down.
Dravid_TheWall Posted January 4, 2012 Posted January 4, 2012 india need sree in place of ishu :nervous:
Sachin=GOD Posted January 4, 2012 Posted January 4, 2012 india need sree in place of ishu :nervous: if they get Sree then they will most certainly lose 4-0
CG Posted January 4, 2012 Posted January 4, 2012 if they get Sree then they will most certainly lose 4-0 without also we will lose 4-0
adi B Posted January 4, 2012 Posted January 4, 2012 sree is much better than ishant only if he stop acting like a paedo .... the guy should come back fully fit nd bowl more of his philosophical outswingers at the right areas to increase his confidence...though we have likes of pk nd aaron as well, not that bad huh
Sachin=GOD Posted January 4, 2012 Posted January 4, 2012 sree is much better than ishant only if he stop acting like a paedo .... the guy should come back fully fit nd bowl more of his philosophical outswingers at the right areas to increase his confidence...though we have likes of pk nd aaron as well, not that bad huh thats the thing - 5 or 6 years after making his international debut he still behaves like this and doesn't have the temperament so other bowlers obviously look like better choices even if they are not better than him.
Dravid_TheWall Posted January 4, 2012 Posted January 4, 2012 Heartwarming to see so many wanting Sree back. Feeling the love :) No doubt we are lacking an aggressive character who can take wickets and take the fight to the Aussies in all departments.
Dravid_TheWall Posted January 4, 2012 Posted January 4, 2012 if they get Sree then they will most certainly lose 4-0 Sree is the ONLY bowler who could stop this from happening apart from ZK who is already there. Also you miss out the crucial fact our batsmen suck very bad, it is embarassing, that is why 4-0 is on again. Oh let me guess, you expect Sree to be able to stop this too. :giggle: Your God has also been guilty of missing out on big scores and setting tempo along with other batsmen. Sree is multi talented but even he has limits. No doubt though in my mind he would lift up team morale though and contribute with ball. Wish he was fit!!!!
