Why play in Guwahati in this weather?

They start at 8:30 , take short lunch break , predict the sun wouldnt be out till 1pm , predict it will go into hiding in 30mins after appearing after noon , know it will be so dark that they cant play beyond 4.30 ... I ask whats the freaking compulsion of playing there

This is the last game to be played on this ground; they are coming up with a new one with floodlights and everything and expected to be operational soon. Dont think any WC games are scheduled for the new stadium

ODIs in Guwahati should be 45-over a side. Even if you start at 8.30am, it will stat to get dark by 4.15pm, thats not enough time to complete a 50 over match. Also even if they get a new stadium with floodlights, the problem of due setting in quite early in the evening will make the floodlights a little irrelevant. Probably the only solution is to play at Guwahati either in October or in March-April but not during the winter months.
