SachDan Posted December 30, 2010 Posted December 30, 2010 Saying that laxman is a better clutch player than sachin equates to sachin bashing in eyes of few one-eyed worshipers. I have also faced similar *******ps here frm time to time. Dont worry, You are doing a good job rett boy. It's not just about this particular thread you MC :finger:
vaibhav_delhi Posted December 30, 2010 Posted December 30, 2010 ^I have also seen sachin v don, sobers thread. It is not bashing sachin if he favors don n sobers over sachin.
Raghav_12 Posted December 30, 2010 Posted December 30, 2010 Sachin vs Dhoni (I have also seen this comparison happening in all earnest manner)
yoda Posted December 30, 2010 Posted December 30, 2010 half the threads are either started (ex: Sachin vs Pointing) or made into a comparison thread (ex: Sachin vs Sobers) by the fan boys themselves and then they start complaining. :winky:
vvvslaxman Posted December 30, 2010 Posted December 30, 2010 Dravid vs Kallis Dravid vs Inzamam Dravid vs Border Dravid vs Vengsarkar Dravid vs Mohinder Dravid vs Ganguly Dravid vs his son.
zen Posted December 30, 2010 Posted December 30, 2010 rett' date=' what's your problem man? I never expected you to stoop so low! you were one of the best posters in CT section prior to that Sach v Don thread reaching epic proportions.. of late you are unnecessarily spending too much energy on Sachin bashing :([/quote'] Hey, it's good to hear from you! I am sorry if I have offended good Sachin fans like yourself. Let me assure you that Sachin is one of my fav players and someone I look up to for inspiration. To me, it doesn't matter what his stats are or if Bradman is a better batsman than him. If I am picking someone on emotional basis than it would be Sachin! What I don't like is this Indian obsession of trying to portray Sachin as the greatest and running down greats of the past in order to do that. Just see how the Indian media tries to get a response on Sachin vs XYZ from ex-cricketers visiting India. Does it matter if the guy w/ an avg of 100 is regarded as the best? Sachin doesn't have to be the greatest in order for us to be proud of him. And just because we are so proud of him, it doesn't mean we have to focus on proving him the greatest. I may have stooped low in your opinion but please don't judge me based on this. For me this is more like a source of entertainment and on the topic I dispise, i.e. Ind obsession w/ trying to prove Sachin as the greatest I don't get much time to follow cricket so who knows I may not even post much after WC2011. These mindless debates keeps me posting here somewhat. But as a good Sachin fan if you do feel offended, I apologize to you and recommed that you don't read to much in to this.

I am truly not sure how honest you are about what you are saying, not that it matters to either of us. If it's just an alternative POV as you claim in the post I am all for it however every post I see from you is either to discredit SRT or to flame someone else. I honestly don't know what to make of this.

Zelig Posted December 30, 2010 Posted December 30, 2010 You missed the big fish - SRT vs Kapil Dev SRT has never won us the WC, while Kapil has..what more, he captained too.
zen Posted December 30, 2010 Posted December 30, 2010 I am surprised that you guys (Gunner and BB) responded to and made a judgment on something that was not addressed to you! It would be even hilarious if you expected a direct reply to what you wrote over here! You are free to think whatever you like :P
