With our lesser population, we can improve standard of living very quickly by improving infrastructure and attracting more investment. Already Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad are big cities which have the potential of becoming global cities in a separate country. Most of the revenue generated by South will be wasted in UP, Bihar, Rajasthan, WB which will continue to put out millions of babies every year. With a separate country, all the wealth generated here can be used for development. The opportunities are enormous.

Dravid, Laxman, Prasanna, Chandrasekhar, Srinath, Kumble, G.R Vishwanath, Venkatraghavan - the list goes on. In a separate country, even more cricketers from South would have got opportunities to represent national side and they would have become world's best. Not to mention in a smaller country, sports infrastructure can be improved much quickly and can have more reach and therefore more talent can be found and nurtured.

ISRO has mostly South Indian employees. Most of the techies in US are from South India. North Indians are only good for driving lorries and cleaning toilets. Fact.
