Remember in Feroz Shah kotla, where we will play half our games, we would need good spinners over there to rule. Offcourse pace will be handy. I hope Veeru will bowl. Hopefully he would be fit by then, to make our bowling more strong.

Its medium pace which won't do much..Genuine pace will do its job..remember Nannes bowling against Wayamba...Pace in the air always helps..it negates the surface...145 kph yorker is always 145 kph yorker in speed...and on a slow track variability in bounce and pace will also help a genuine pacer as the batsmen are not sure of the bounce if the bowler bowls straight enough and does give width to the batsman

abhinav Posted April 5, 2011 Posted April 5, 2011 Here is what I expect the starting lineup to look like: Sehwag, Warner, Finch, Irfan, Hopes, Unmukt, Rao, Ojha, Pawar, Yadav, Morkel Batting runs deep till 8 and no real super stars other than Veeru. The fast bowloing looks sharp with a good mix of pace and medium pace. The spin department is relatively week. I have a feeling this team will surprise many this year, they have consciously chosen to let go of the stars and chosen high potential T20 specialists.

IMO either GG OR AB should have been retained i say this coz Viru had injury issues during the WC thats why you had an option of either 1 of them leading the side :((
