cowboysfan Posted January 9, 2011 Posted January 9, 2011 he needs the rest and he is absolutely crap at it nowadays.I would rather give Uthappa a chance. The problem is that BCCI doesnt have the balls to drop him.
vaibhav_delhi Posted January 9, 2011 Posted January 9, 2011 Not a bad idea for rest him for t20s, they can try naman ojha too.
Texy Posted January 9, 2011 Posted January 9, 2011 Dhoni only plays in IPL where millions at stake :hitler:
Sachinism Posted January 9, 2011 Posted January 9, 2011 Agreed, been saying for a while he needs to quit this format He's totally forgotten how to hit the ball
fineleg Posted January 9, 2011 Posted January 9, 2011 Tuk-Tuk, Tuk-Tuk: Thats his mode now. He is not really a "Power Player" and he is made out to be one. This maybe an unpopular statement but: I dont think C$K should have retained M$D. People may think "captaincy" blah - but frankly CSK can get a better wicketkeeper batsman (even International player if need be like ABDV or Dilshan). Dhoni just wastes a batting spot in the T20 side. And captaincy factor - please we can always find some other captain for CSK. Agreed with cbf - Pls. do not play International T20 M$D - we can tolerate if needed in C$K
fineleg Posted January 9, 2011 Posted January 9, 2011 Dhoni only plays in IPL where millions at stake :hitler: As a matter of fact, he will probably do the same Tuk-Tuk there too, and some brilliant captaincy like sending the Sri Lankan Pappugedera over Badri or rookie R.Ashwin for Superover when Muralitharan or a pacer could be sent :haha:
yoda Posted January 9, 2011 Posted January 9, 2011 yes, his best shot is finding the gap for a single. :hehe:
fineleg Posted January 9, 2011 Posted January 9, 2011 yes' date=' his best shot is finding the gap for a single. :hehe:[/quote'] :hysterical::hysterical:
vayuu1 Posted January 10, 2011 Posted January 10, 2011 the problem is he is to much into construction mode,he should keep construction for test and odi's and destruction for tonti tonti
Malik_Bhai Posted January 10, 2011 Posted January 10, 2011 he's frustrating to watch nowadays. should use uthappa, irfan or tiwary. a yusuf clone, someone who has the power and aggressiveness to hit the ball out of the park, incase yusuf is the victim of an early wicket. ideal... 01. GAMBHIR © 02. SEHWAG 03. KOHLI 04. RAINA 05. YUVRAJ 06. SHARMA 07. YUSUF 08. IRFAN 09. UTHAPPA (wk) 10. HARBHAJAN 11. ZAHEER
ludhianvi Posted January 10, 2011 Posted January 10, 2011 There are hardly any T2OIs being played by India anyways if the main concern is fitness/rest.
Zap_Brannigan Posted January 11, 2011 Posted January 11, 2011 Do anyone really care about international T20's outside the WC? Like Dhoni himself said, the T20 acts as practice match for the ODI series.
vaibhav_delhi Posted January 11, 2011 Posted January 11, 2011 Dhoni is a sachin or a gambhir mold player with regards to constructing an LOI innings. T20 just doesnt provide time for that. Plus if he quits t20s, if would get some rest inbetween series'.... But make no mistake, he is a dhaakad player in t20s too on his day.

vaibhav_delhi Posted January 11, 2011 Posted January 11, 2011 Its only you who will not realize that he is a Tuk-Tuk player these days. Which form of cricket you are talking abt? He is still indias most indispensable player in ODIs, plays according to the situation and best finisher ofcourse.
spectre Posted January 11, 2011 Posted January 11, 2011 Its not like Dhoni can't hit. The way he took apart the KXIP bowlers in that decisive IPL match showed he can still do it with ease. I dont understand why he tries to consolidate or look for singles, even in end overs, and that too in a T20 match.
