jukkha Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 I would back Yuvi to finally hit batting form v England. He always does well against them..
zaheer Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 Based on one warm up match? Not really.. But that is what i think will happen..
Sachin2210 Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 Yeah, Raina playing a cracking knock today probably means he has guaranteed himself a place in starting 11 on 19th. Yuvi will have to sit out I reckon.
Sachin=GOD Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 Raina will still sit out No chance. Raina will be in the team without a doubt.
kabira Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 He is on the field, so probably he will play.
Bumblebee Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 on current form raina is playing much better then yuvi
pensionplan Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 Good to have this kind of a headache. What kind? To pick one among the two that recently struggled with the bat for most part. Anyway given the intital set of matches being a joke given the way the format is set up till the competition reaches the QF stage it really does not matter. May be play a round of musical chairs between these two and see what would be the best bet at the QF stage.
pensionplan Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 No chance. Raina will be in the team without a doubt.Just for your sake I hope Raina will get the nod. :-)
kooljatt Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 I woudnt mind whoever plays, but FFS, Yuvi is NEEDED when it comes to big games against SA & ENG. u can't keep matchwinners out of the side for long. Yes he has been not at his best, but how many matches has raina won against big sides like SA & Aus etc. ?
Cricketics Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 Regardless of who play and who ever doesn't on 19th Who ever plays, whoever is dropped, hopefully our Indian janta won't accuse DHoni for not playing a particular player.[only you can accuse if somehow Kohli isn't played :)] This is a real big problem for him. It's really hard to pick an 11. He is in a very hard position.
Gunner_Mania Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 Yusuf Pathan will miss out. He is definitelly behind Yuvraj & Raina in the pecking order..form or no form.
vvvslaxman Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 If you ask me i would pick Raina against certain teams, Yuvi against certain teams. Yusuf against certain teams. Kohli and Gauti should be permanent as they provide stability.
kabira Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 Ashwin is bowling beautifully, how are we going to keep him out??
Sid Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 Yuvi should definately play against the Poms,he always saves his best for them
