Hehe ... now on the the bigger question ... Whats a Jumanni? :--D
Sanjay Jumaani is a very well known numerologist who keeps predicting stuff and getting things right :cantstop: http://articles.timesofindia.indiatimes.com/2011-02-18/off-the-field/28614569_1_ms-dhoni-mahendra-singh-dhoni-cricket-schedule/2 Sanjay JumAani: Australia adds up to number four just like 2011 does. Also captain Ricky Ponting (birth date 19/11/1974) is a number one (the number of sun and leadership) and he is in his 37th year (again adding up to number one). Hence, Australia is definitely a team to watch out for. West Indies may also be the dark horse that can cause many upsets this time. Unfortunately, India is not favoured by the stars this time. Here's why: 3, 6 and 9 are India's lucky numbers. They are in one family and have worked wonders for the country in the past. 1947 (Independence year) equals to three. 15 (Independence day) adds up to 6. 1983 (World Cup) adds up to number three. Kapil Dev (birth date Jan 6) is a number 6. 1986 (Asian Cup) also adds up to number 6. After 24 (which adds to number 6) long years, in 2010 (which adds to number 3) we won the Asia Cup again. 2007 (T20 World Cup) adds up to number nine. However, 2011 adds to a 4. Also, we are currently in our 64th year of Independence (six and four adding up to number one). Hence there is no three, six or nine magic anywhere. Yes, the Indian cricketers follow numerology and will be wearing their lucky jersey numbers, but they will have to work harder.

Hmmm.. interesting. I had a gut feeling from the first that India wouldn't win this WC, despite all the hype. Sure hope he is wrong about Australia though...... Has he analyzed all the other countries? Maybe some other country has the numbers right ??

I see ... well TBH i am not much of a astrology fan. But lets see and wait what happens ... one astrologist claimed India will win it another one claims Australia will win it ... by the end of the day one of them will simply say "It was just a prediction" LOL

I don't think so, he has distinctly singled out Australia and West Indies as the 'big upsetters'.. so India would do well to be alert when we play against WI. That article has at least 3 numerologists/astrologers singling out Australia as the clear winner. The tarot reader in that article has singled out South Africa and India, and someone called Vipul Saxena has said India could reach the finals, but that we won't win. So basically, if the numbers are to be believed then even Pakistan won't win :D The stars seem to be aligned in Ozzie's favour, but I hope they all will be proved wrong :( If Australia wins again I'll stop watching the WC.. I'm fed up of Oz winning all the time now, lol.

From the article- Bejan Daruwalla: Mahendra Singh Dhoni's birth date is July 7 and the stars greatly favour him. Also, there are 14 teams in the running and seven, which is Dhoni's number is exactly half of 14. That apart, this year is 2011. The numbers seven and 11 are born friends. Seven is the number of Neptune and 11, the number of the moon. Both these are born sweethearts. Hence, there are 51 per cent chances of Dhoni gaining success and getting the cup home. India's closest rival will be South Africa. In fact, there will be a close tie between these two countries. But the matches being in the Asian sub-continent, India will have a psychological advantage over South Africa. But remember, in love and in cricket, even Daruwalla can lose his wicket. :cantstop:

Bejan Daruwalla is a fake for sure. His predictions have been wrong quite often. Others, I'm not sure about.

Pakistan have a well balanced side. They have a very good mix of youth like Afridi, Umar, Shehzad with the experience of Yunus, Shoaib and Misbah(although he hasn't played much for them, he is domestically, well experienced). Also their batting line up is pretty good, but the only worry is their opening pair. I cannot see their opening pair going along well. Shehzad is not a good batsman, technically, so he may get away on these sub continent tracks, but this pair may not subsist for long. Hafeez, of whatever I have seen, looks a decent bat(II think he has made his comeback after some years now IIRC). Their middle order looks pretty good with Yunus, Misbah, Kamran with hot and cold approach, while Afridi and Razzaq are good strikers/sloggers of the Cricket ball. Their bowling is very good, but their problem is consistency. If Shoaib goes astray for an over or two, he will lose his cool and start spraying around, searching for more pace instead of line and length. Similarly Gul will struggle to bowl at right handers and will spray down the leg side.So their two premier bowlers have made their attack look handicap. They do not have a genuine spinner in their side, I don't think a Rehman and Ajmal would be a good pick for your money. Afridi has done better than those two which shows they lack good spinning options. If they can sort that out, they are a very decent side and will make it to the Semis.

Hell!' date=' so now we are trying to hype up good for nothing warm ups [b']which btw were so important that two of our premiere players a.k.a Shahid and Razzaq didn't even feel the need to bat in it :--D Come on guys just because I have said something as a pakistani it doesn't mean that as indians its your obligation to negate it by hook or crook! :giggle:
what i'm going to say maybe a little off-topic, so mods plz excuse me for this post. @ Ascher its you pakis who actually feel obligated to ***** about us at the drop of a hat. go check out your green ghetto / puke passion forum. there are at least 10 threads made recently about the UDRS decision (Ian bell one), sehwag not wearing a number on his jersey, and the tied india-england match. :hysterical::hysterical: and in each one of them your countrymen have got their panties in a twist about how BCCI is flexing its muscle by making a mockery of the rules about number on the shirt (though no one can find a mandatory rule when asked about it:finger::finger:) and about UDRS implementation. boy we sure live next door to some sick neighbours:crazy4::crazy4:

FYI, Sachin Tendulkar and Zaheer Khan did not play in the warm up match against Australia. Zak didn't play in the warm up against NZ either, and we ended up winning both matches well enough. So it can be aptly said that our best players didn't 'feel the need' to play either. What are you trying to prove? This isn't as much about Indo-Pak hostility as it is about not slagging off people here with every chance you get. I've visited a bunch of Pak forums and they are replete with India bashing, ugly slander, and an obvious deep rooted hate for some reason (which I can't fathom and couldn't care to). Indian forums are far more open to opposing views and many people use this freedom to violate the basic sense of decorum here. You can't come on this forum, try to spark off some crap, and then play coy and innocent.

Emm ... i don't think i mentioned even once that playing the current AUS team is a walk in the park nor did i say pak will surprise aus. All am saying is Pak is showing a lot of power then i expected after the trio incident. Let's see what happens!
You did mention Pakistan is looking more dangerous than Australia. With their fielding and Kamran's keeping they don't look half as good as Australia. :--D

True. Australia's fast bowlers have the ability to make any top order collapse. If their batsmen can weather deadly pace and spin they can win against any team since they are electric on the field too.

England and Pakistan last matches were so similar, they were at their best and oppositions were not at their best. Yet one of them won by 11 runs and the one could only tie .SL did not even have their best bowler Malinga. Both of them had everything going for them and they got all the lucky breaks in both matches.Unless they get these lucky breaks all along I don't see both teams going farther than quater finals.

Wiser men have said that this worldcup is wide open. Apart from New Zealand all other teams have looked dangerous at come point during this tournament. If you block out the game they played against SA, West Indies decimated Netherlands like their feelings didn't matter too. So while the tournament remains wide open, I still put my money on the pre tournament favorites India, South Africa, Sri Lanka and Australia. Why? Because they have been consistent in the lead up to the world cup.

It can even happen to India :(( Pakistan may top the group and play either West Indies or Ireland/Bangla, they are reaching semis that's for sure. India will face New Zealand
maybe. but --> india havent peaked yet and pakistan have, probably a little pre-maturely. --> India is playing at home, so thats another advantage. --> india have players who thrive under pressure like gambhir, bhajji, zaheer, dhoni, current pakistani team has only afridi probably who could be placed in that category....

Afridi thrives under pressure :hysterical: You must be joking. He is a renowned serial quitter and examples are littered everywhere in his career from getting out innumerable times during pressure situations with escapist slogs to running away from captaincy/career when the going gets tough for the team. Younis and Misbah will be the go-to guys for Pakistan under pressure.

I meant his bowling only, other teams will have to be wary of his bowling in big games...he could be the chief destroyer....No one else as dangerous as him in their team currently imo.

Tendulkar birth date: 24th , adds up to 6 Tendulkar playing in his 6th world cup We're winning the world cup. All other numbers are inconsequential :--D
