for the first time in years they appear as a cohesive unit. seniors playing responsible innings juniors showing their potential catching is good, fielding is looking sharp and who knew spin would have been their main weapon. they should make SF or better if they keep this up

Very impressed with Pak so far, they have dashers at start, grafters in between, sloggers in lower order ,good seam and spin attack as well but Razzaq as their 3rd seamer is their weakness and ya fielding is absolutely abysmal

We are always dangerous in big tournaments especially when your leader is a pathan with theheart of a lion. :two_thumbs_up:
yeah its too bad the american drones are unable to sense the apparent superiority of the nordic blue eyed fair skinned pathans with the hearts of lions or they wouldn't have hunted them down to oblivion. have you ever made one valid argument without resorting to idiotic metaphors? what the hell does being a pathan have to do with anything?

Catching wise, are we watching the same game ? Its always easier to bowl second at the venue, such a target has never been surpassed. Yes, they can make it to the semis.

Yeah they're really looking good after a long time. Misbah and Younis have added some stability to their batting order. Fielding/Keeping still sux though.

They are playing well, but so are the other teams. After tomorrows game everyone will sound India-India looking dangerous. It's the affect of one good victory in world cup. Happens all the time and in every sports. It's like calling Argentina the team to beat and next you see is them getting thrashed in semi finals by Germany.

If they finish A1 or A2, then they are likely to play either Eng or WI/BD at Mirpur or Colombo. One is a slow surface, while at the other toss is a big factor so the probability of Pak reaching semis is high At Mohali, it could be difficult for them if they face Ind. On the other hand if Ind is playing NZ and NZ upset Ind then NZ are Pak's one of the fav WC opponents. And if they play the semi at Colombo, then it would be another game where toss could play a part so it's difficult to write any team off in this WC :winky:

Their fielding is dreadful, but that apart they are looking pretty good, but a strong start could actually work against them come the knockout games because they aren't the sort of team which sustains good performances.

I would judge them when they bat second under lights. It is a foregone conclusion it is difficult to chase in Srilanka.
What's there to judge then? They'll likely lose chasing under the lights in Sri Lanka like any other team. But this match shows that if they bat first they are going to be difficult to beat. One can't say the same about NZ or BD, whom teams would fancy beating even chasing under lights in these conditions.

My point is they look good because of the toss. But they are far from dangerous.
