Lot of experience in middle order and lower order. Other teams are too top heavy. India needs Yuvi in good touch. MSD is getting there, Once they do that, they will have good middle order. Similarly Lanka Dilshan, Sanga and Jaya, too much pressure on them. England have Trott, pieterson and Strauss... SA have Amla, Smith, Kallis and ABV... Aus have Watson, Haddin Ponting and Clarke... They say you should have your best players come at top and give themselves chance to face lot of balls, But Pakistan are doing other way. That might work for them when they are batting first, when they chase, they would need YK and Misbah better up the order.

we could make our team bottom heavy. just send the bowlers to open and tendulkar/gambhir/sehwag to bat last. we will be as bottom heavy as a bowling pin.

^thats true. But Yuvi, MSD are not best of the form. I know MSD had great warm up century but that was against Kiwis, still not sure aobut hsi form. Pathan is hit and miss, matchwinner on their day.

The disadvantage of a weak top order is that good bowling attacks have a good shot to get the middle order by picking up early wkts. YK and Misbah are not always going to get runs, if Pak loses a couple of quick wkts. Top heavy side should look to strengthen their bowling attack to compliment the top 5 to 6 well. If the top 6 get going, 7th batsman may have a small role to play so the team would need good bowling option. And if they lose early wkts then w/o a strong bowling attack, whatever the 7th batsman does may not be enough :winky:
