debachat Posted February 27, 2011 Posted February 27, 2011 I dont know if BCCI had foreseen situation like this when they refused UDRS but this was clearly a ridiculous decision. The guideline was 2.5m but the umpire has to consider who is bowling and how much the ball's angle or spin will take it away from the wicket. Common Sense is not so common specially among the rank and file of ICC - the umpires specially!

So in this case would telly umpire have told Billy that the ball was 2.5m away from the stump and Billy found a perfect reason to stick to his decision? If so that is wierd!
