Ultimate_Game Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 IMO they batted better than India' date=' bowled better than India and fielded better than India. After that amazing innings from Strauss chasing such a huge total, they deserved to win it more than India.[/quote'] Wow! Amazing!!! Eng batted, bowled and fielded better than us and we still managed to tie the game. In fact not for Chawla's pathetic over at the end we should have won without playing better than Eng!
veer Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 I think we were too satisfied at the end when we were batting.. once we crossed 270-280..we threw our wickets.. major wake up call.. otherwise we batted well..
fineleg Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 :cantstop::cantstop::cantstop: I dont think England deserved to win this. They goofed up as much as India did.
asterix Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 A draw was a fair result but Chawla messed it up in the 49th over by conceding two sixes. That was stupid Dhoni messing up.. Chawla did his job in the previous over and giving another over was risky. Flatter bowlers like Pathan should've done the job.. That said, the Munna delivery to Sehzad was one of the worsyt deliveries you would bowl to a tailender who is looking to hit you..The ball had HIT ME writtrn all over it..Munna did a proper crappy job there..
gaurav92 Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 Both played equally well and tie was the perfect result.
Rajiv Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 If they did so many things better than India' date=' how come they were not able to score more runs than India?[/quote'] Agree, they gave away 338 too??
gaurav92 Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 ^And they got a couple of decisions their way too,not that we weren't lucky though, even we got our share of chances, but that was missed chances not "not given out" types :cantstop:
yoda Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 Neither of them deserved to win. we choked towards the end of our batting and pretty much the whole time of our bowling except that one Zak over. England choked by taking P3 and self destructing and bowling rather mediocre. The end result was actually quite appropriate, IMO.
satyam1729 Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 This match ended the way it should have. It was the perfect match. Both teams deserved to win and lose and the same time. Whatever happened ' date=' happened for the best. I wish these two collide again in the semis too. Finals to be India vs Australia. What say? hey btw i am also the manager of team india. Virtually obviously lolz.... @ yatracricket.com[/quote'] Really. :--D
Jersey #10 Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 I don't think England deserved to win or even tie the game. Dhoni had the most defensive fielding one could have imagined during the first 30-35 overs of the game.
ganeshran Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 It was an even stevens match.. both teams goofed up, got lucky, choked, but at different times in the match
