This kind of nonsense cannot go on......

A small request from me. So many threads here on ICF eventually end up with posters making personal attacks on players, and those who are interested to actually debate issues are shouted down. Banter is fun most of the time and we end up getting a good laugh out of the arguments and counter arguments, but can we please draw the line at abusive personal remarks against players?
This is one thing I have never understood on my stay here and on other forums, how are people able to abuse our own people(players, selectors, captain, etc.). It just reflects the regional narrow mindedness of some people here.

Looking at the thread's title, I though the thread could be about Ind's bowling and fielding, along w/ on field strategies :P But yeah agree w/ the general view of the OP. Just because this is an online forum, it doesn't mean that people bring out their wild side here :icflove:

A lot of Pakistani fans come over and abuse Indian cricket and then expect to get away without getting a stick is beyond me. We really don't have a problem with the silent, quite and respectful padosi fans but there are a few who over do it. I really don't buy most of the crap posted in this thread. You can not clap with one hand...

Abusing should not be allowed at all in public to anyone. Anyone means player/user whoever. Only abuse urself & no one else so please make a strict action against these abusers. Yes if u are against some player/Team u can defend urself but u can't abuse them yaar

So, this thread has done nothing but become a defense mechanism for many trolls. Outsider :hail:
+1 Just in line with the 'Sickularism' followed in our country by the minority appeasement parties like Congress, SP, etc.

I am hardly a regular here but from what I've seen, I will say that the forum seems to allow trolls to operate quite freely. The other day, considering my lack of experience here, I was stupid enough to even try to engage in a proper cricketing discussion with one of the trolls before I realised that his only objective was to troll. He was probably having a good laugh at me. And then, these trolls have the gall to act the "victim" when somebody takes them on? Now, that sounds familiar, doesn't it? Seeing this as a relative outsider (pun unintended), I think if the forum takes a much stronger line on trolling (maybe immediate ban), things may automatically fall in place. Unless you want to have some banter with trolls (that can be fun too!), there is no point in allowing trolls to spoil interesting cricket discussions. Surely by now, the forum knows most of these trolls?

Vast majority branding Pakistanis cheats. Frequent use of the word haramzada(b@st@rd) to describe Afridi. Calling Pakistanis living in UK doll scroungers. Use of an offensive racial slur(p@ki).If its not considered an offensive word here then dont let people from UK register here. This are the things that cant be blamed on trolls from across the border.

I am not sure which is the cause and effect but the truth is that we have trolls from both sides of the border on ICF, Some people just make offensive and personal comments against Pakistan on any thread. Some posters from Pakistan make crass posts and deliberately provoke Indians into giving an reaction. Because of this many sensible posters actually interested in discussing issues are put off from the forum and dont return.

100% agreed. It was an eye opener for me see hatred and abuse for pakistan here.Indian poster on pakistani site are credit to their country and greatly admired.I know there are idiots on both sides and need to be dealt with.

Abuse must not be tolerated. This forum is full of filth like that. People may call me a troll (I may be ) but I never abused India or the Indian people. Not one of my post goes without certain Indian posters attacking my nationality. Now Pakistanis are not the only victims of abuse here. The Sri Lankans and the Bangladeshi's get a lot of stick as well and so do the Aussies. My advice: To maintain a healthy and purposeful discussion on this forum, strict action must be taken on the issue I highlighted above
Agreed.:two_thumbs_up:

So uhh why is this thread sticky? I don't see an iota of difference in the way this forum is being run. There are more Pakistan related threads each day than the Indian ones:hysterical: Ahh this obsession is plain hilarious ICF is more of a "fun" forum *inserts yk smiley*
